I really like Value Center, the only problem I have is getting sales papers. I live out of the area they deliver. Now that I see they are on the internet how about putting the sales on the internet like Kroger does, this would be so helpful. alot of us make out our list before we leave home and the stores that have sales. Please consider this. Thank you

My favorite aspect of Value Center is the deli. foods are always fresh. Lunch meat prices are comparable and often cheaper than packaged lunchmeat, with much better variety. Next would be the frutis and vegetables. Sometimes cucumbers are high, but thats everywhere and at least theirs are fresh. The prices are way better than Kroger or Meijer in my opinion. The staff is mostly very friendly and helpful. Parking lot is clean and carts are always available.

All in all, a decent market to find the specialty items and run in-and-out when you're in a pinch. But, the aisles are too crowded and the prices too high most of the time -- even during the sales.

I have been shopping for over 3 years now here at Value Center Market. The staff have been very attentive at helping me to find the items I am in need of while learning the layout of the insides. With any specialty product that has not been in stock, they get right on it and have for me by the following week or two. This includes products that I, as an English woman, am familiar with and enjoy. Over the past 3 years, Value Center Market now stocks many English products and my favorites, such as: crumpets, Bisto gravy, alpine cereal, Cadbury chocolates, and other fine products.I find their pricing to be very competitive and their quality irreproachable. My thanks to ALL the staff for their kindness and friendliness. They do their best to help Americanize me."ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY"

A "Spartan Brand" store with reasonable to lower priced items. Best time to shop - weekday evenings. Saturday and Sunday you may have trouble finding a parking space. Check their weekly flyer for some exceptional savings - canned goods, produce, and meats especially. Overall lower prices than that "Farmer" who is the competition.

PROS: Overall prices - you will save money shopping here
CONS: Selection of some national brands

You get what you would expect from an older grocery store at Value Center. The lighting is on the dim side with the aisle stacked high and every available bit of space used to cram products in, including a tasteless display of unrelated, overpriced items in the egg and cheese area.

The inside and the outside of the store are relatively clean and free from debris. There are a few well-placed cart corrals that are emptied on a fairly regular basis. The parking lot could use a few more handicap spaces.

The customer service center is located readily in the front of the building easily accessible from either entrance with money orders, lottery and misc. services. Double coupons are available up to and including 0.50. There is a Rug Doctor Center with two machines available to rent as well as a film drop-off at the southeast entrance. The two, sometimes charged, handicap scooters are available as you continue through this entrance. Coinstar and an automated bottle return center are located at the southwest entrance. This area could use sanitation. On warm days the smell can be quite stifling as you walk in the door.

The layout of this store is similar to many other grocers, leading you past their weekly specials into the fruit and vegetable area, continuing on to the bakery, deli, cold-cut and meat sections. This area can get a bit tight at times and difficult to traverse.

Stockers, customer service personnel and management are usually pleasant to deal with. There are quite a few cashiers that seem to hate their jobs, though a few are very customer oriented, upbeat, and actually smile. On one occasion when shopping, I witnessed a bit of discrimination against an overweight, handicapped woman that was obviously trying to use a state food debit card for the first time.

The products that are sold here can be found elsewhere for similar prices with a few exceptions. Nestea Instant without lemon or sugar is available here all year, not just seasonally.

PROS: Pepsi products are cheaper here than elsewhere. The sale prices are good.
CONS: Mon-Sat 8AM-10PM, Sun 8AM-8PM. Lack of alternative foods available.

What sets Value Center above other markets is their deli. They have a wide selection of meats and cheese as well as items such as crab cakes and chicken salad to die for. The prices at the deli are lower than any other place that I have been to. The quality and freshness are unsurpassed! The rest of the store is very clean and offers many good weekly specials.

PROS: Delectable deli
CONS: some regular priced items somewhat higher than similar stores
