The children's area is awesome! Great selection for kids of all ages. And very homy feeling. Nice and relaxing. Great helpful Staff. Parking is better!

The Downtown library, recently renovated, boasts a large supply of books, a beautful decor, and a coffee shop inside. Yet I'm unable to spend a lot of time inside of it, because there are so many homeless people sleeping and causing general mayhem that it's uncomfortable for me as a library patron. Also, even though they have MORE books, it seems like they don't stock as many current titles as other branches. It's more difficult to check out magazines and other non-literary materials.
Still, the staff is top rate, and the prevalence of its "U-scan" type self-checkout system makes it easy to get in and out if you're looking to check out a specific item.

PROS: beautiful structure, helpful staff
CONS: no control of wayward youth and/or homeless loitering around
