I just had another wonderful experience with Clinton Trail and felt compelled to share.

I'm new to pet ownership, adopting my first kitty last winter (December 2010). She was a gift from my boyfriend (I know, animals shouldn't be given as gifts - it was a unique situation though as I'd been wanting to adopt a kitty for a while and was already prepared to do so). Anyway, I asked around for vet recommendations when it came time for my cat to be fixed and was referred by several people to Clinton Trail.

In the interest of brevity, I will provide specific details that are common to all of my experiences with this animal clinic.

First, each time I've called to set up an office visit they were able to fit me in the very next day, even the time I called 30 minutes before they closed the night before the scheduled appointment. Also, they are very fast and waiting time is short. They were very busy when I brought my first cat in to be fixed, and I waited maybe 10 minutes. The next time I was ~10 minutes early and only waited 5.

The office staff and vets are INCREDIBLY nice, knowledgable, and caring. You can tell they all really love animals, love what they do, and enjoy being there. Personally, that's very important to me. I was more than comfortable trusting these people when I had to drop my beloved animal off overnight (as when my first cat was neutered). They're genuinely nice and friendly too, not that pseudo-friendly fakeness you so often find in many businesses these days (BigCorps 'n' Friends, ahem).

I don't have experience with other vet clinics so I don't have another place in which to compare prices with, but they are reasonable and definitely aren't out to just make money and price-gouge people. A feline office visit is $38, and then additional services have varied prices. They didn't push additional services or unnecessary extras, which is something I make sure to watch for in any health-care related visit.

Finally, the doctors I have seen have been very, very knowledgable. They know what they're talking about and seemed excited about sharing their information. I tend to ask lots of questions (I'm a bit of an autodidact, admittedly) and the vets seemed more than willing and happy to answer as many as I had. There was no sense of urgency or impatience, which is hard to fake and a very important measure of a business's motivations and intentions.

I highly recommend this animal hospital. It's so, so important in today's economy and society that we support local businesses just like this one. They care about animals and the people that care for them too, and it shows.

I love Dr. Houser and the rest of the staff. Prices are good and they are very caring. Get you in quickly! We had to have a dog put to sleep and Dr. Houser was wonderfully caring about the whole thing.

When we had to put our dog down because she had no quality of life. I could not have asked for a better vet to take care of our pet. He had empathy towards the situation, he knew I was very distressed over the entire situation. I was crying uncontrollably,
my tears made this Doctor cry with me. My husband and I both agree to have someone feel like that over your pet was a person who LOVES there job. Hats off to everyone there who made it that much easier for us. We will always take our pets to you.

My family switched to this vet after a home move. We take three large breed dogs there and the staff are super nice. Parking is good and the business is located off a large local highway. It is always clean when we go and they always seem to get us an appointment if we have an emergency. All vet survices are provided and the staff is knowledgable and is able to answer all our questions.
