I have been waiting over a year for a piece of furniture purchased and paid for up front. I have received only excuses and heard lies from the owner. I would not recommend them to anyone who cares about customer service, honesty, ethics, and just plain receiving your purchase, ever.

The owner is extremely nice and funny. On top of that, the merchandise is a must-see. When I purchased from Italmoda, I got a quick delivery as well!!

I loved my experience with Italmoda in Royal Oak! I was driving by one afternoon, and I decided to walk in. It was the best decision I made. The furniture is very unique and beautiful, the owner is incredibly friendly and he truly wants your visit to be memorable, and the delivery service was very professional, although i did get my furniture a little over a week late. I purchased a dining table, 6 chairs, and a buffet and they worked with me to make it fit in my budget! I have already recommended them to my brother, and I will continue to recommend Italmoda to all of my friends and family.

After purchasing a bedroom set from Italmoda, I waited for about 8 weeks even though it was promised to me in 6 weeks. I was concerned but I gave them a chance because Bill kept persisting and I had confidence. Finally, I received my bedroom set and it was beautiful. They personally delivered the bedroom set and installed it. I am still extremely happy that I gave them a chance. I understand that customs holds orders and that many furniture companies in Europe have been struggling as well. I am completely satisfied and will continue to purchase furniture from Italmoda!

UPDATE 6-20-09: Mr. Bahoora delivered all of my furniture yesterday, 6-19-09 after 4 weeks of waiting. Even though the previous promise was to get me the bed by Wednesday, I worked with him for two more days, because I felt that he wanted to make me happy. On Thursday evening, I visited the store again, and asked if I could take a lamp with me that he had promised I could have. He did let me take a beautiful orange Kartell lamp and I love it. He had my furniture delivered on Friday at 3pm. The guys that did the work were really great (they are a service themselves, J&J in Oak Park, and they're great, I'd hire them myself). They took a while to do it, but that was okay, because in the end, the bed was built very well. They made sure we were happy, and everything was in where we wanted it. They took our old ugly furniture out, too! In the end, I am very happy. The bed is everything I wanted it to be and more. So, even though Mr. Bahoora made some promises he didn't keep, in the end, he delivered some really awesome furniture. Plus, he even came over to the house and made sure things were right. He really made us feel like he wanted our business and he did care what we thought of him. I don't really think that this is a "bad place" at all. I felt that he really did care, a lot. I think that you just need to work with Mr. Bahoora. Know that this is really artful furniture, something worth having in your home. But, also know that you will need to wait for it. Mr. Bahoora is coordinating the delivery and building of it, and since he's not a huge corporation, it's not as easy as it seems to do all of that being one person. (He's doing this all on his own it seems). So, I'm giving Bill a break, because in the end, he came through. I'm sorry for the folks below that didn't get their stuff for over a year, but, you guys need to jump on the ball on this stuff! CAVEAT EMPTOR! You have to look out for yourself, it's America, folks! I agree with the woman from Farmington, below. It's great stuff.

I did not get my closet organizer for over a year !
Called Italy and was told that Italmoda has balance to pay from the previous orders, and is not paying so they are not shipping.
Do not buy from them.

In looking for a smaller but functional table that included wood and glass or wood and metal, we came upon Italmoda in Royal Oak, MI. Mr. Bahoora took phone numbers an said he'd be in touch. It took some time, but they "delivered" service. After requesting the table be brought to their store (which was more local for me) so we could see it prior to purchasing it, they managed to make it happen. Due to some scheduling issues and short staff, it did finally arrive at their Royal Oak store. We traveled to see the table, LOVED the simple beauty of the table and when we were told they could deliver it that evening, I became a permanent fan of Italmoda. They arrived at my home, very carefully unloaded the table, brought it into my home and were as professional and gracious as I'd expect them to be along with some humor. They were excellent!I would recommend ANYone to go to Italmoda and check out the store and talk with them. Be patient, enjoy the moment that you get the furniture you chose. It's beauty and simplicity is beyond most furniture companies' quality. Those who have complaints, understand that the furniture comes from different manufacturers that aren't always "next door" and it will work out just fine.Go! Now! After waiting for 13 weeks for a sofa I ordered, after being told it would only take 6, I received the wrong sofa, wrong color, and no empathy from the owner Bill and sales girl Martina. The transaction started on 12/09/07 and today is 3/5/07 and the situation is still unresolved. When I spoke to owner Bill he said he couldn't understand why I was mad! They lied about how long it would take to get my sofa, Didn't return any of my calls, to keep me updated. I also called the manufacturer of the sofa, located in Canada and they told me that Italmoda has a "bad account" with them and all orders were on hold!
