I would not go to this gas station ever again if I can help it. I just went there to fill up my tank. I was completely on empty, so it took $52.00 for my car. I thought I'm going to support the little guy, because all these other bigger gas stations keep coming up, and choking out the smaller ones. I went in to pay,
and started writing a check (from the same checking account that I have been for the past 2 years there) and she says have you written a check here before? I said yes for the past 2 years and never had a problem before. She says "Well we aren't supposed to take anything under 1000. I'm not gonna get reamed for this"(She said she's been there for 5 months.) So she called her boss. Her boss said she talked to me personally. (Which she did NOT. It must've been someone else that also had a check under 1000).I said "I've been doing it for 2 years." She says "Well someone got pulled in the office and got reamed for it." Apparently after 2 years of writing checks there they are now telling me I cannot do it. So I said no big deal I can write it from my other checking account, but that is for different purposes, but I can use that one this time. I wrote for 54 at first and had to change the 54 to a 52, and then I initialed it. And she says "oh my boss is gonna love that. I'm not supposed to take that either." So then she finally puts the check in the machine to read it. She says "Jesus Christ. It's not reading the check. Now I'm gonna have to put the numbers in manually. But I'm not gonna do it." Then she had to see my license. I JUST came from Secretary of State to get it renewed.
And... you guessed it... "We're not supposed to take those." (temporary license was stapled to my old one). I said "Well if I get pulled over, a cop is going to ask for it and he'll take it" She says "We don't have the same rules." Then she was finally done with my transaction (by this time there is a very long line) and I said next time I will just use my debit card or write it from the checking account with the higher number, or go to Speedway. And then SHE told ME "Well you don't have to cop an attitude about it." I could not believe she actually said that after all she just put me through. I said I wasn't, and that she was the one that was taking the Lord's name in vain, and I left. I will never go there again, if I can at all help it, unless it's under new management. For your information: it happened on Friday, May 9th at about 1:45p.m. So whoever was working that shift. (I didn't get her name). Thank you
