I must say I agree with all of the positive remarks about LHH & Baby Hugs. I was blessed the day I met Jayme and my boys were accepted into both day cares. When your a single granny raising small children you need all the help, support, advise, understanding, loving care you can get with your little ones. This daycare school has provided all that and more. I am 100% percent convinced that if more daycare-schools were like this one, the future will have many many more happy, healthy, successfull adults running the country. I Love Little House of Hugs, it has been a God Send for our little family. Thank You So much!

I have had the pleasure to have my son start at baby hugs and now at big house. Through my experience with other dyacare centers LHOH is the best place around. My son was coming home from baby hugs singing his abc's and counting 1-10. All the staff there are soooo loving and welcome EVERYONE with open arms.Mrs. jayme has been so great to me and my son. She love's all the kid's there like they were her own kid's. I would never leave my son with anyone else. When he is there I never have to worry about him. Another great thing about this center is the "fun fridays". Every friday they have a fun filled day planned with the kid's, I just thank god for mrs. jayme she really is WONDERFUL! My son has made so many friends and has really come 'out of his shell'. LHOH really is the best place around.

I was checking into child care, and when I looked up the license for this day care center, not only have they been written up for TYING CHILDREN TO CHAIRS, they have also put a 3 year old child on a school bus and sent her to elementary

I have had the opportunity to have my children in daycare over the past year at Little House of Hugs/Baby House of Hugs. What an awesome daycare and staff. I commend Jayme for keeping a great business going. Children come with all different personalities and behaviors including value systems from home. They really know what thier doing when in comes to teaching the preschoolers. There's not an evening that doesn't go by, that my son is not relaying what he did at "school" as he calls it. He's only 2 and can count in spanish? I mean come on, that's a learned behavior. My child doesn't like to sleep for long periods either, but it's not an option when nap time rolls around, we also keep our children on the same schedule over the weekend due to daycare and to make it easier for everyone. I am a HUGE beleiver that children MUST have structure. When they don't, this is where behavioral issues come into play. I am not here to debate, but again THANK YOU Little House of Hugs for Being GREAT with my presious gifts (aka-my children) each and every day!

I have known Mrs. Jayme for over 15 years. My daughter went there for years (she is 13 now) and my 2-1/2 year old is attending now. He has started going early last year. My 13 yr. old still talks about going to daycare and how fun and loving they are. How she misses it and wants to go back. I don't know how anyone can say anything bad about this day care or the staff. They are so loving, caring, fun, smart, open-minded, big hearted. They are just amazing ladies! My 2-1/2 year old can count to 20, can count to 10 in Spanish, has been potty trained for 8 months now, knows his colors, his shapes, can spell his name, can write his name (except 2 letters), he can recongnize his numbers and letters now. Of course you have to help at home as well, but they are just amazing at what they do with the children!! If your child is asked to leave this daycare it is because the parent doesn't care what the child does and isn't willing to work through the problem. They are our family and I would trust no one else to take care of my children! My son loves going to school and has learned so much. He has had a few bad moments but we all worked together and he is perfect now!! If you don't like this day care, then it's because you are in denial about your childs behavior, you don't like your child to get lots of love, and the very best education and attention! You and your children are missing out if you don't know Mrs. Jayme and her staff!!!

I am a single mother of two very beautiful little girls, I also worked in a daycare center myself for many years. So I know what is expected of child care professionals and what it's like to be a mother of children attending daycare. I can honestly say that Little House of Hugs was a God send to my children and I. When I worked at the daycare that I worked at my children came to work with me so I was never really away from them, when I Quit that job back in June I took my kids out of there and put them in a home daycare. Not that this would happen to everyone but it was the WORST mistake I have made in nearly 5 years of being a mother. When I decided that enough was enough I called Jayme at LHOH and explained my situation to her and we met up the following day. From the first conversation with Jayme I knew that my children would be safe and sound in her care. The staff at LHOH is the best!!!!! My children used to scream and tell me they didnt want to go to daycare now they tell me that they want to go EVERYDAY :) which as a mother gives you a since of comfort knowing that your children are happy being there! to the staff at LHOH we love you and no one would ever replace you in our lives, I would recomend LHOH to any and everyone!!!

My child started there at 2 and stayed till 7! She made many, many long lasting friends, as did I. The staff was amazing to be around. My child sobbed her last day there because she felt like she was leaving behind family. The teachers there are educated, caring, compassionate women, and we had a wonderful long experience with this center.

I personally LOVE this daycare center, yes we had a rocky start but that was not entirely their fault. I was new to Monroe and had been asking everyone inmy neighborhood for centers that they would reccomend. After recieving many recommendations claiming that Little House Of Hugs is the best in town, I decided to give them a call. My children love it there! My kids are the type of kids to scream and cry when I leave and to not allow anyone near them, this also includes family members, and at this center they are happy to go, my 3 year old son asks if he can go everyday.
In the past I have had issues with centers telling me that they can not get my kids to eat or calm down after I leave and this is clearly not the case with this center. I would personally reccomend this ceter to anyone with kids that asked me what my thoughts on the local centers would be.

The best daycare ever. My daughter has been in their care for two and a half years. I absolutely love Jayme and her staff. As most parents feel, I was so scared to leave my daughter the very first time. She was just an infant. Everyone at Baby Hugs made me feel welcome and comfortable. They took excellent care of my child. My daughter has learned so much. Not only do they work hard to teach them about counting and the alphabet and so on, but they teach them about sharing, caring, being positive, and how to be a well-mannered child. Jayme truly cares about every single child's nutrition also - which is very important to me. So many kids live on junk food and soda. Jayme makes sure they get a well-balanced meal and healthy snacks. And lots of water!
I have recommended LHOH to everyone I know. Thank you Jayme and staff. Our family truly loves you!

Both of my sons have been in the care of Little House of Hugs for two years. My oldest son is now a kindergartner and his teacher raves about how much he learned in preschool. My youngest son LOVES to be at Little House of Hugs. Mrs. Jayme and her staff provide such a fun and loving enviornment, he has formed a close bond with all of his care providers. I can not think of a better place to bring my children when I can't be with them myself. Mrs. Jayme treats my children as if they are family and my children just love her and her staff.

I would highly recommend Little House of Hugs! Last year my youngest son went there part time and my oldest went for after school care. They had my 2 year old potty trained in a week! By the time he was three he could recgonize most of his numbers and letters, My husband is laid off and money is tight but we still send my little one there for pre-school. He loves going there and asks me daily "Do I go to school today"? He looks forward to seeing Miss Jayme, Miss Aly, Miss Sarah and Miss Chantel and has blossomed in their care. They provide healthy luches and snacks and get them to try things they won't eat for me. My 2nd grader begs me to take him there to see his teachers and friends. I completely trust the staff at Little House of Hugs and am so thankful to have found such a wonderful place!

I was an employee present at the time when Jayme suspected that a little boy may have autism. It was many more than two days that she decided to try and talk with the mother. I saw Jayme toil over the decision of whether or not to talk to the mom. She absolutely never wanted to bring it up. I heard her many, many times say she dreaded it because she didn't want to upset the parent. She also has a nephew with autism and she has seen what her brother and sister in law have went through. She would NEVER want to put anyone through such anguish. The only reason she put her suspicions out there was for the benefit of the child. She knows that early intervention is the key to great success with any kind of special need. I heard her say many times that she hoped she was wrong. How can you not work with kids for 10+ years and not be an expert? Experience is our best teacher and I'd say she has plenty.

My 3 kids have been at LHOH for years and I have never been happier! I went to 2 other places before getting lucky enough to end up here. I never knew a daycare could be so great. I always thought negatively of day care centers, but not this place. The staff is professional, loving, and fun. I would recommend this place to everyone.

My grandchildren have been at Little House of Hugs for 10 years and I would never trust them with anyone else. The love and attention they receive could not be found anywhere else. The level of education that they receive is also amazing! Fabulous place for any child!

I find the previous review very hard to believe. As a childcare professional and former Director/Teacher of a preschool, I have had the opportunity to visit the Little House of Hugs.
I was very impressed with the love and nurture given to the children.
Many times those of us who work with children see behaviors that concern us. One must remember that although we are not experts, we have studied developmental behaviors in children in order to acquire our degree. Out of love for the child, we may suggest having him/her tested. Some times a parent feels insulted by this. It's sad, because we really only want to see the child get help.
Again, I wouldn't go by this one review. I recommend The Little House of Hugs as a place where you can leave your little one and know that they are getting the best care, and most important-love.

My sons were in Ms. McElvaney's care for two days before she decided that my oldest son was autistic. The reasons she gave me at that time was because he would not listen to her and was concerned about where his little brother was at all times. I was extremely upset and immediately consulted his pediatrician who said she had never observed any characteristics in him to suggest autism. I decided to move them 2 days later when my son started crying everyday when I left. I consulted another center, which unfortunately was previously owned by Ms. McElvaney also, Little House of Hugs Frenchtown. This was only because my youngest was not potty trained and there were no other centers that would take them both. Out of professional courtesy, they called to inform her I was looking into moving my children there. She told them that she had been videotaping my child and offered to show them the video and proceeded to tell them all of the new "evidence" that she had found to support her "diagnosis". I pulled my children out the next day and moved them. She continued to insist she was right and try to get the new center to view this video that she took without my permission. I made an appointment with the ISD to have him evaluated so that she would leave us alone. The day after the appointment, she called the ISD and insisted that they tell her the results of the evaluation and that they must have tested him incorrectly if they did not see that he was autistic. She then told them all of her "evidence" and offered to show them this videotape. I consider this harassment and think it is completely unprofessional of this woman to continue to try to involve herself in anything to do with my son and to try to make anyone who will listen believe her entirely uneducated opinion. Besides the fact that more than one professional that I have consulted told me the videotape is completely illegal since I did not give her permission to take it. I want any parent who thinks about putting their child in this woman's care to be informed and to think twice about her overzealous beliefs.
