I would give this company ??zero? stars if that was an option. I administer FAA Pilot Flight exams for a living. I have issued over 1000 pilots licenses. I know how nervous applicants can be. Check-ride-itis we call it. The first responsibility of an examiner is to the place the applicant at ease.

We arrived 10 minutes early out of respect. We didn??t want to keep the examiner waiting. When he arrived and opened the cones for us to enter the test area I got out of the car and introduced myself. He looked right through me; no acknowledgment or hello. He just barked ??pull your car up to this blue line? I asked if he wanted me or my son to do it as we weren??t clear on his intentions he growled slowly ??P U L L T H E C A R U P T O T H E B L U E L I N E.? This examiner treated us like we had committed a crime; he was very hostile.

He turned his back and went over and sat in his van for approximately 10 minutes. He then got out and started setting up the course. My son said ??maybe we should say hello again.? I replied ??he seems in a pretty bad mood and doesn??t seem like he wants to.? Whereby my son said ??well let??s try to be friendly again maybe we caught him off guard.? I thought ??my son is wiser than I am? and said ??sure, let??s say hello again.?

We tried to greet him again? I said to him ??hi? can we help with anything?? In a harsh, loud voice he ORDERED my son and me back in the car, bordering on hysteria like a police officer who is nervous that he has pulled over an armed felon.

He barked at us without any sign of acknowledgement or respect. He commanded ??GET BACK IN THE CAR? to me then to my son who had also gotten out of the car ??GET BACK IN THE CAR?. Then he looked at me again and ordered ??YOU, GET IN THE BACK? turned and walked back to his van.

He put enormous pressure on my son before the test had even begun; we didn't even know his name. We never found it out either.

I opened the right rear backdoor, kneeled down and said to my son, sitting in the driver??s seat, ??I??m not comfortable with the way the guys behaving.? He said he wasn??t either. I then asked if he was ??OK? with me pulling the plug on this test; he said "yes, definitely yes."

Now here??s a normal 16 year old who wants his license so bad he can taste it... but he was ??just fine? with not taking his exam with this examiner. I closed the door. Walked up to the examiner and told him that he was rude and hostile and that I wasn??t going to allow him to subject my son to his dreadful attitude.

We left and I called the school to issue a complaint. I don??t think they took me seriously until I said ??I??m not calling to get a discount or any consideration at all. I??m calling to say how badly your examiner behaved and we won??t be back.?

I cannot recommend Courtesy Driving School on any level.

Picked Courtesy because it was close to home. I knew after the day one this was a bad decision. The teacher was late opening the building a lot, always a sub and scheduling drive time was a nightmare. My daughter was done with the course and she still had 3 hours of drive time to complete before she got her permit. I drove by on the weekend and all 3 cars where parked in front of the building and not out on the road. Take my advice and save yourself the heartache.

I would not recommend this location for anyone looking for a good driving school. The so-called instructor was always late and didn't teach anything. She had students watch videos and do tests and that was all. The students never received a text book to study from, only the free pamphlet you can get at any Secretary of State office. The parking at this location is awful. Although I can't speak for other Courtesy locations, this one definitely needs improvement.

Both my daughters went to this driving school.
I was very satisfied with their teachings.
The teachers taught their lessons and then the teens watched many video's. During this course, they had about 4 road courses. These went pretty well.
Now a days, the state really expects the parents to work with the kids, with a schedule of hours and miles they have to do before taking the next step.
I did price a number of these companies, all are pretty much the same dollar range. I do recommend this company.. I put my second teen through it!

PROS: Lots of class times!
CONS:
