I said to my friend that he has a great choice! I never really guessed that there are many great meals in here if it wasnt for him. I am thankful for him for giving me the pleasure of this place.

Despite the other reviews I recently moved from Chicago and have fallen in love with this place. I have taken others here and they agree. this is a solid choice if you like sushi and are downtown.

Pros: unfortunately, they have a great location

Cons: price, flavor, service

Marado has a nice enough atmosphere in downtown GR, but the sushi is really only average. The fish is good enough, but the rice is cheap tasting, dry, and hard. I lived for seven years in Japan, so perhaps I am overly picky about rice, but it really is the building block of any good nigiri or roll - it should be moist and just fragrant with sushi vinegar, not like leftover Minute Rice.
