I have been taking my boat to grand valley for 5 years to have it winterized. They have been great and very timely in getting it done. I have asked them about about a few different things that I thought should be replaced and they said not

Shady business, stay away!!!! I called GV and told them my problem. Gear lube was leaking from a water drain hole on the lower unit. He seemed to know exactly what I was talking about, quoted me a price, but said he would have to check

I have had better experiences with GV Marine. After neglecting my boat for a few years, their mechanic got it in top shape in reasonable time and expense.

He did requested repairs then advised me of additional concerns. I was 100% satisfied.

I also had canvas work done. New seams, new snaps, new border.... for about $200. Made the cover good for another 10 years. Beats $1,000 for a new one!

Too bad Brett838 had a bad experience. Sounds like GV handled it poorly.

Buyer Beware! Here is what happened to me:

The owner John quoted me twice on a simple bellows boot replacement. He quoted just over $ 200.00. That is $ 55-60 for the boot and $ 127.50-170 in labor. I went to pick up my boat and the bill was $ 554 ! They decided to make other repairs without calling me. The owner was screaming when I tried not to pay. He yelled things like ??I don??t have to stick by estimates in the boat business? and ??I??m not here to win friends and influence people.? The service manager would do nothing about the additional repair charges either. Very shady business tactics if you ask me.? I??m NEVER going back to Grand Valley Marine. Take it for what it??s worth
