On The Border?s festive atmosphere and top-notch margarita selection make it the perfect place in Chicago for a fun night out with friends or a relaxed meal with the family. The food, ranging from traditional Mexican favorites to more inventive and lighter fare, is always fresh and affordable. The Create Your Own Combo is a budget-friendly highlight ? you can mix and match two of your classic favorites, served with rice and beans, for under seven bucks. It?s available lunch and dinner every single day. And their famous freshly-made, bottomless chips and salsa are always on the house. The servers are laid-back and friendly, just like the atmosphere. Their famous patio is always rockin? when the weather?s nice, and indoors, you?ll be treated to an eclectic mix of modern accents and lively music. A night at On The Border is always a casual, fun-filled affair with a kick of Mexican flavor.
Very nice place to eat. It's fun to go there on your birthday, because they sing happy birthday to you and make you get up and dance in front of everybody. Talk about turning red in the face. The food is good but not as good as sagebrush. The prices are also reasonable.

I don't usually like chain restaurants but this one is different. It has great food, personalized service and awesome margarita's. The bar is nice and clean and has cool chandeliers that are made up of beer bottle's. Portions are huge and good qualtiy. Great location next to Great Lakes Crossing Mall.
PROS: Great food and margaritas, good location

I had On The Border for the first time and yea I wasn't impressed, took 30 minutes for our waitress to even ask if we wanted anything to drink! The manager noticed we where just sitting there and came over and said how is everything? Well lets just say he wasn't happy and neither where we. The after we ordered it took like 45 minutes to get out food! Yes you guess when it got to out table it was all totally wrong! So they took it back! and when they came back? Yes it was totally wrong! Nothing changed they brought it out exactly like the first time! I was very disgusted! The manager came over and said that he was very sorry and I plainly said this is my first time here and definitely my last! He said I don't want to hear that and he gave us free passes to eat there again and paid for our dinner! Yes and of course like 6 months later I didn't learn my lesson and we used those passes, yes nothing changed and the food was very disgusting and cold! I don't recommend this place to anyone and I will never go to On The Border ever again!
Pros: None
Cons: Everything about this place!

The food was only mediocre, but the staff was terrible. One waiter was trying to be funny, but it didn't go over. I used to like it once in a while, but no more. I don't go out to eat to be insulted.
