Cat Care is a wonderful facility with caring doctors and staff. I've been taking my cat there for nearly ten years. They are knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything they are doing and what to expect. Yes, they are expensive, but as all excellent vets are, they were also very willing to work with me when my finances took an unexpected dip and set up a payment plan for me. I have been very pleased with the quality and care of service to this point. You will not be disappointed by them.

Cat Care if wonderful. The doctors are caring and knowledgeable, unfortunately the prices are higher than any vet i have ever been to. I was floored to find out the cost of an office visit. It is $57.00 for an office visit alone. You can find excellent care with other vets for anywhere from $30.00 to $49.00. More cat lovers would go to Cat Care if the prices were reasonable but they are not reasonable at all. We love our cats and it's a shame to be charged so much for care.
There are many wonderful vets in the area who are no where near this expensive. If you like the feeling of spending a lot of money and it makes you feel you are doing more for your cat, then this is the place for you.
I also stopped in at one point to pick up some food and the woman at the desk was very rude to me. I was not allowed to just buy the food i needed. She wanted it put into my cat's file and that i needed a prescription from the doctor to get it.
The other vet that i switched over to (Long Lake Animal Hospital) never questioned the food. I merely went in the back of the hospital where the food store is and would pick up what i needed for my cat. I am an adult and i can make choices for my animal. The food was recommended by the vet but they certainly did not keep tabs on my refills. I went to Cat Care to replace the food i needed because it was closer. That was the last time i was there.
It's sad because the doctors are so good, the building is clean, comfortable and relaxing and there are no dogs there to upset your cat.
The vets are wonderful and i wish i could have continued to see them but the prices are outrageous and i am a single mother with two children with disabilities. Thankfully i have found a wonderful doctor for my kitties who has been practicing since 1970! He and the staff are so caring and kind. People come from long distances just to go to Long Lake Animal Hospital!!! I have made friends with other patients families also while there with my cats. My male cat passed away this March 25th and we were allowed to stay with him as long as we wanted. There was so much compassion. My baby had to stay for 5 days and they were very reasonably priced. Did not take advantage of our difficult time. He had an IV the entire time. I was so pleased with what they charged me for his care.

I've been taking my cats to Dr. Thoms and Dr. Frank at Cat Care for as long as I can remember. They, along with their staff, take the time to answer ALL of my questions, are gentle and caring with my furbabies and are very thorough with their exams. When they run into a problem beyond their expertise, they don't hesitate to refer you to a specialist. Whenever I've had to go home with medication or after having had lab work, they are very prompt with calling back with results and to check on the welfare of the pet. The staff is friendly and helpful and also very caring. When we had to bring one of our cats in for euthanizing, we were allowed to spend all the time we needed to say goodbye. A few weeks later in the mail, we received a letter from Cornell University of Veterinary Medicine, informing us that a donation had been made in memorial of our baby. Sure, they charge a little bit more than your regular all-animal vet, but it's well worth it. Cats get stressed easily enough without having to deal with barking dogs. The atmosphere of Cat Care is very quiet, clean and soothing to the felines. I can count on getting an appointment within a day or two. They get an A++ in my book and I wouldn't hesitate referring anyone to them.

I'd been having increasing trouble trying to trim my cat's nails. I was able to get an appointment within a few days. My cat was very scared but Paula did the trimming quickly and with no discomfort to the cat. It was only $12. I had called some other places and it was $18 with several weeks waiting for an appointment.

kitty there and the doc and staff we pretty responsive. She received good care and they really seemed to know what they were doing and how to treat my cat. I really liked the office staff and assistants. I would recommend this office if you have a kitten who needs shots or a cat that is more seriously ill. They do surgery also. I have taken a stray there and they offered to spay her for less because she was a stray. I trust the doc and staff.

    PROS: good place

Cat Care is a vetrinary clinic that deals only with cats. The staff there is very friendly and really take into consideration on what is most comfortable for the cats being treated. They have done an excellent job taking care of my 2 cats for the past 5 years.
