Bavarian Inn Lodge

Bavarian Inn lodge is great for a family getaway. Be sure to play in all of the pools, play a round of putt putt and sing karaoke. Adults can enjoy a drink in the bars. Great shopping within walking distance. Must have a chicken dinner while there and go to Bronners for a christmas tree ornament.

We have stayed at this lodge many times and will continue to do so. It has the most wonderful atmosphere. Very authentic in every detail. Each room is dedicated to a German family from the area and has information and articles about them all about the room.

Has on-site resturants and so much fun for the whole family. Entire family fun center is the entire basement level of the lodge.

This inn/lodge is beautiful! There are many pools and activities for the children to experience, as well as a few eateries for parents, or the family, to go to at night. You can visit the Christmas store to purchase Christmas items, as well as taking a "tour" of the surroundings to see the lights lit up at Christmas time. The best thing about this place is that you can visit year round! You can get Christmas ornaments in July if you want!! That's a plus!

The prices are in line with other inns or lodges; however, bring lots of money to buy ornaments or knick knacks, as well as for food. Very easy to access off the expressway and lots of parking available.

My family has been visiting this hotel twice a year for the last 10 years and have always enjoyed it. It is great for a family getaway with everything you need for a nice weekend. The hotel has an adults only pool, as well as 4 pools for families, including a kiddie wading pool and one with a waterfall. The Fun Center has indoor mini golf, arcade games with tickets & prizes, a snack bar with activities for all ages. The only downside is that the rooms are very expensive, especially for family suites, and they charge you one month in advance on your credit card to reserve the room. It is also near Birch Run Outlet Mall, and the downtown Frankenmuth area is great for shopping.

PROS: Superb service, lots to do, very family friendly
CONS: Expensive, charge you before you arrive

We have stayed at this Hotel many times and now it is a family tradition to go up to Frankenmuth the week before xmas get a family suite with a xmas tree and just relax!!!

They will actually put a xmas tree in your room. How nice is that gesture. The rooms are wonderfully cozy and exceptionally clean.

They family fun center is one of the many highlights of our trip as is the pools! They are five of them.

You can spend the entire weekend and never leave the building if you don't want to .

We stayed here for friends' wedding in June of 2005. Our room was very nice, we had a balcony view of the river, and we were allowed to check in early. It was clean, and the hotel staff was very polite.

I didn't particularly like the policy where they charge your CC the entire cost of the room one month AHEAD of time if you reserved over the phone. In order to get the "wedding party rate" that our friends were quoted, we had to reserve over the phone, as the website doesn't/can't/won't find group rates.

The restaurants were beyond expensive for what you received, food wise.

We will very likely stay here again as a "weekend getaway" because it is very convenient to get to from our house, and the rooms are very nice. We will not be eating at the lodge though, its just far too expensive for the quality and quantity.

PROS: Excellent accommodations, "family fun center", many pools
CONS: A little expensive; on-site restaurants are ridiculously expensive!

My family and I stayed at this hotel based only on its reputation and this hotel did not dissapoint. We were able to check in early so that my daughter could have a nap. Our room was excellent, very clean and decorated very nicely. Even though we were at the end of a hallway it was completely quiet at night. We of course went swimming and the pools were excellently maintained and pleasant to be around. We had dinner at the very nice restaurant inside the hotel and the service was superb, along with the food being superb. I very highly recommend staying at this hotel. It is not cheap to stay here, but it is well worth the money.

PROS: Proximity to Birch Run and Frankenmuth attractions
CONS: It is expensive, but definitely worth it
