If I could give this company a zero, I would. I bought a parking pass from Campus Realty on Wednesday, placed the parking pass on the INSIDE of my window as instructed, and parked my car in the lot. On Sunday, I found out my car had been towed. I explained to triangle on the phone that I had the parking pass in my back window, and then headed to their office. When I examined my car, I found that somebody had broken in to my car and torn out my parking pass (the adhesive pieces and some paper shreds from the pass were still stuck to my car window), I'm not going to openly make any accusations, but my car was locked when I got to triangle towing and NOTHING else had been taken from my car, despite the fact that I keep an expensive GPS and other valuables in my car. Only 3/4 of the parking pass had been messily removed from my vehicle. Campus realty wasn't helpful at all, and I ended up having to pay $285 to get my car back. My question is this: why doesn't campus realty give a list of the cars that are allowed to park in each lot to triangle towing? Or, if they don't want to do that, why not put up security cameras in the lot? It's ridiculous that my car should be towed when I'm paying for the right to park in the lot. The whole thing seems extremely suspicious and corrupt. If someone else has had a similar experience, let me know. I doubt I'm the first that they've scammed.

The office lady is SUPER RUDE. The office is shady and dark. They didn't even allow my friend to go with me to get my car, acting like we were suspicious people. Their facility was horrible and the staff was even WORSE!!!

This company is deceitful and unprofessional. They towed my legally parked car and Ron, the office help, was rude and abusive. If anyone else has had a similar experience - please post - is a legal suit in order?

Triangle towed my car out of my apartment complex parking spot. They have a contract with the management company, but my car was registered with the office, with all the correct information and was parked in my correct numbered, assigned spot. The parking tag was also in the window, but they said it wasn't in the right spot, which it was. Basically, they towed my car to get the money and lied about the tag! DON'T EVER EVER call these people. They are crooks and should be put out of business!

Triangle Towing owners Scott and Laura Snuvernick and Campus Realty owners John and Lois Stegeman have an illegal towing scam at 520 South Forest Avenue in Ann Arbor Michigan. Michigan laws says signs have to be posted and prominently displayed at designated vehicular access points. This is a large parking lot with no signs. Tow truck drivers watch people park and then tow them immediately. How do they get away with this? John and Lois Stegeman own part of the road in front of the parking lot. They put signs on the street, but no one knows these signs also cover the parking lot. These road signs, however, do not satisfy Michigan law because signs have to be prominently displayed at access points. This is so manipulative its stunning. The Ann Arbor Police and City Government are part of the scam, refusing to rectify the situation and being abusive to anyone who tries.

Our car was involved in and accident on a Thursday Morning and the Ann Arbor police called this company to tow the vehicle--the tow guy was nice and helpful but the office workers are rude, disrespectful and very sarcastic. We had to pay $255 to get our car released-- the following Monday because they kept saying no one was there to release the car when we called. We went up there to get our 2 baby seats out of the car and they had a problem with that and acted like we were trying to steal the car or something, mind you the car would not start and the entire front end was damaged. We inquired about pushing the car onto the street and they said all of your windows will be smashed. Who wants to hear that when your vehicle is already down. Our insurance company had to get involved and they refused to let them come onto the lot and get the car. The tow guy that the insurance company sent got so angry that he left and refused to come back even after my husband went back up there and paid another $35 to release the car to the other tow company. The insurance company got involved again and Triangle finally agreed to tow the car, which they had initially declined and refunded us the $35. We spent a grand total of $255 and I was very late for work and inconvenienced because of all the running around.

The guy who came to pick up my car when it broke down was nice, efficient and helpful, which was great, because I was really stressed about my car at the time. The whole tow only cost me 70 dollars, too.

For anyone looking for a towing service, BEWARE of this den of thieves. I'll make it brief. I'm from out of town, visiting friends and meeting family for a Christmas Exchange. I park near Cottage Inn Pizza on East Williams. I DID park in a marked spot. I'm wrong. What did it cost me? $220. CASH. Triangle Towing towed my family vehicle, loaded with presents and personals, around 8 pm. Luckily I caught the tow truck driver on another pass through the lot. I noticed my vehicle missing, stopped the driver, asked for help...HE REFUSED but managed to shove a business card out the window and said that's all he knew about the situation. I called the number, got a pile of crap from the guy on the phone and he informed me I needed $220 CASH ONLY. I told him I'd try and get there in around 10 minutes, figuring the cab driver would be quick. I arrived 20 minutes later (cab driver knew the Triangle name and only charged me $5 off of his $8.5 meter because he knew of the crooks). I called the phone again. Guy told me I was late and he'd see what he could do to get the driver back in the next 20-25 minutes. I walked back and forth in a dark, no traffic area in a city I have no bearings for, with a pocket full of cash, and waited for 25 minutes. The driver finally shows up...same guy who flipped the card out the window, and opens up the front door to collect my $220 CASH ONLY. Writes a receipt: $55 for dolly (my car was Backed in a spot, easy to get at), $95 for towing charge...$40 for what was called "Michigan Fee, $20 storage Charge, and $10 for the Ann Arbor Police Department (imagine that). Very nice. Three days before Christmas. I, of course, don't say a word, knowing the Idiot in the truck will just lock the door back up. I ask if I should check it for damage....he says "that what you pay the big bucks for." I wish him a Merry Christmas. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. I will make a very concerted effort to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Triangle Towing is run by scumbags.
