Sabor Latino changed ownership this July 2009. The place was moderately renovated and the salsas have definitely improved. Would be great to see the newer reviews since the re-opening.

Maybe it is because I have been spoiled by growing up in California and living in New York but the food here was not authentic or even tasty. The chicken enchaladas were literally tasteless cubes of chicken in a tortilla. The tacos were greasy and flavorless and the empanadas were greasy. There is no alcohol license so bring in your own if you want to enjoy a drink or spike their non-alcoholic sangria (tasty). The service is OK but the ambiance leaves much to be desired for a date night. There is also the issue of them only offering one item per night on 1/2 of their menu as "specials". It's not awful but it's not anything to mention, really.

I went to Sabor Latino for the first time last month. The food was pretty good. The chips were decent. I had a beef wet burrito. I was really impressed by the burrito. The sauce both inside and out of the burrito was good. Their service good and our food was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I think it is good mexican restaurant.

Pros: good food, fast service

Cons: I've had better mexican food

We love Sabor Latino and we eat there quite often. They have a la carte items so it can be very inexpensive. Imported Mexican sodas are great with every meal.

The best would probably not be how I would describe Sabor Latino. From the review and user ratings I had assumed that this place must be good, at least. I tried the tamale dinner, just ok, sort of bland tasting. It came with rice and beans, both needed some flavoring. The chips were actually chewy and sort of going stale, not to mention not much flavor. Be sure not to ask for more chips, because they will charge you $1.25 extra for a nice fresh stale basket and not inform you of the charge. I would probably not return. Best mexican is at the El Reparo in Toledo ohio.
