I have been taking my pets to Strong's for at least 6 years. They have taken excellent care of my dog and cat over the years. I board my beagle there on occasion and when I pick her up she is clean and happy.

If you want excellent care for for your cats, consider Country Cat Clinic and Dr. Racey. They are superior people in care and consideration and thoughtfulness.
I just lost a cat and had been using Strong for years but I was very disturbed at the lack of interested and level of care and concern.
Dr. Racey told me more about my cat in 10 minutes on the phone than Strong did in 10 weeks. Country Cat really cares. I will never return to Strong.

I have been going there for 25 years very professional.

Dr McClure is great. He intereacts and cares for the dogs and is the best for Shar Peis. I've taken my Shar Pei there since he was a puppy. DR McClure underdtands the breed and is excellent with diagnosis (even in emergency situations he called right back and knew just what we should do.) I would recommend then to any dog owner.

I should start by saying that my family has used Strong my entire life so picking a vet as an adult was not hard at all. The problem is that over the time I've spent with them as an adult I've seen the quality of care given to my animals and family going down. Being told to exit through the back door, so you don't upset our other patients, after my beloved dog was put to sleep... longer and longer waits in the lobby and inside the room... being told, repeatedly, that my 2 children (2 & 4) are being too loud even when they aren't (the rooms echo)... having the office manager bribe my children to be quite then tell me, ""I have kids, I know what I'm doing.""... giving me the wrong amount of medication and making me pay to get the rest of the dose... when I cried because my cat is sick and if the medication (that I paid for twice!!) doesn't work he may have to be put to sleep the office manager told me ""Your children are with you. You are being very inappropriate.""... blaming their mistakes on me... when my parent's puppy was oozing from her private parts they told them they would have to wait a week before they would see her, because she hadn't been in to see them before, the puppy had only been with my parents for a week... the vet even wrote some information in our chart, but didn't ever tell me that it was an option for our cat.
The lack of care has been getting worse, with each quality vet leaving for other offices, but after the lack of simple human compassion showed to me by, not just the vet, but their entire staff, I will NEVER take my pets there again and will be sure to tell other pet owners to stay away!!!

Dr. Blajan was the reason why I continued to take my dogs to Strong. I am still his client as a matter of fact, as I have moved my dogs' care to where he now practices. I have recommended him to all my friends and family members, we are all very happy with him.

I am usually not at a loss for words, but , where exactly to begin with the staff at Strong is difficult. Begin with you taking your cherished pet, a family member, to doctor who has a patient that cannot speak.....The folks at Strong are professional, compassionate, caring and dedicated. From the reception desk to the tech's and especially the Doc's; I can only wish the doctors who would treat me acted in this manner.\r

I called this hospital because I found a baby woodchuck whose mother had been killed by the neighborhood dogs. The baby was not in great shape having been without its mother for about 6 days. Site unseen the office checked with the vet and they said bring it in and we will either nurse it back to health and set it free in the wild or we will humanely euthanize the woodchuck. THis was so kind and generous. I was not a paying customer and this shows that the vet cared more about the animal than about the money. I would not hesitate to take my animals to this wonderful facility.

Let me start by saying we have been going to Strong's for approx 10 years, should have left when Dr Fox did many years ago! \r
\r
Many questionable (un)diagnosis's since then. While I understand it's difficult to diagnose and treat a patient that does not speak (human that is) but as doctors of veterinary medicine it's their job to attempt and continue to attempt to diagnose and treat their patients respectively. Strong may initially have very reasonable costs for their services but recently we spent ""hundreds"" of dollars for nothing, NO RESULTS and NO DIAGNOSIS for six months! It wasn't until I finally left Strong's for a new vet that my dogs (Golden's) are now cured of their skin problem and were within their first treatment at the new vet. Not to mention that my dogs after all the unnecessary treatment from Strong's had compromised immune systems and all they wanted to do was pump them full of more chemicals with their vaccines, which most people know, that's not a good idea...not just in humans! \r
\r
This was not our first time with Strong's that one (or more) of our pets had been misdiagnosed, it seems their standard protocol for anything was to treat with antibiotics and/or steroids and to never find a cause to the problem. We had a very young puppy (golden) die in their care, which, with all due respect was probably sick from the time we brought him home from the breeder with a possible genetic defect but this puppy who was not eating properly or gaining weight properly from the beginning was never really checked for anything until it was too late and even still we do not know the exact cause of death except renal failure. Another of our dogs (golden mix) diagnosis of cancer was missed for months and was being treated for arthritis. \r
\r
While you may save money on your trips to Strong for your yearly vaccines and medications, just hope and pray that you pets do not become ill. \r
\r
Some of the staff is unfriendly and condescending.

Pros: Initial costs

Cons: cost in the long run!

Dr. Foss at Strong Vet has taken care of all our animals for at least 10 years. She remembers them all, answers any questions, even the weird ones, gives honest advice and really cares about our animals. If she doesn't have the expertise needed, she will refer us to someone who does.

I was very happy when I took my new puppy to Dr. Foss. She was very kind, knowledgable and took extra time to answer all my questions (I had quite a list). She diagnosed & prescribed medication for an intestinal parasite that spreads through young kenneled dogs very quickly & if not caught early on could even be fatal. The puppy has so much more energy since being on the medication. The clinic also has reasonably priced services. I would highly recommend Dr. Foss.

Pros: Caring, efficient, thorough, lots of parking, no waiting, all over great service.

She wouldn't make eye contact and was not friendly. She didn't inspire confidence in her care. Not recommended!

I would not take my pet any where else around. They do everything by the book. If you favor or request a specific doctor, the staff will only schedule an appointment with that particular one. They are very concerned about any and every need as though your pet was one of their own. I wouldn't say they are the cheapest around, but not the most expensive either. Well worth the care they give.

PROS: Accomodating
