My family and I have attended Plymouth First United Methodist, since the summer of 2006. The ministry and community within this church has helped me find my way to a much deeper relationship with God, than I ever had before. My wife and son have also experienced tremendous spiritual growth with the support of PFUMC.

The congregation is warm and welcoming and will help you to find a deeper relationship with the Lord our God, through various opportunites for Bible study, Sunday School, and fellow-ship.

Being a currnet and active member of PFUMC, I was most distressed to read the other review about my church. But I decided David L. is correct. We sing lots of old hymns from hundreds of years ago, revealing God s character and rich in the TRUTHs taught by Jesus Christ. (Sometimes we sing new songs, also revealing God s attributes.) The sermons can be boring, especially if you don t want to hear that you are a sinner and you need to change the direction of your life so it lines up with God s Word as revealed in the Bible, the very Truth and Word of God. And if you spend any time in the church outside of our worship, I promise, I guarantee, you will have a problem with someone in our church. We are sinners and hypocrits in desperate need of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you find either of these traits in your self - sinner or hypocrit - you will fit right in. And you will find a group of people who are "working out" (sanctification) their faith in Christ - stepping on each others toes, getting on each others nerves, and learning to love each other as Christ Jesus taught His disciples to.

This is your stereotypical, old fashioned church. I grew up here, and unfortunately left due to personal issues with the youth group pastor. I would not recommend anyone go here, they seem very bitter, and phony. It's kind of ironic that the methodist church claims they have "open hearts, open doors, open minds",this couldn't be further from the truth. Their services are mediocre at best, and sleep inducing at worst. As for the youth group, it's pretty much nonexistant anymore, I would definately NOT recommend anyone force their kids to go there.
