Some gym facilities are just play time, but don't really focus much on development of skills. At Branch, children quickly progress. In fact they have two different "ladder" systems as I like to call it. They have the recreational classes that begin with D1. They also have a separate team "ladder" that begins with "twinkle stars" for the advanced 3 and 4 years olds. Children have to show and eagerness to learn and a natural talent as well as be referred by a coach in order to enter the team "ladder." I have a daughter who began at 3 1/2 years of age and was quickly moved into the advanced preschooler's class. She is beginning to compete this year at age 6. My other daughter started at 5 1/2 and at 8 years of age is happily progressing up the developmental track. This program also offers sleep-over parties and specialty classes like backhandspring clinic. The kids love the staff and the staff loves them back. For my girls going to gymnastics means being with their bestfriends. Especially for my advanced gymnast, who has been with many of the same girls since she was 4 years old. It's just as much of a social experience as it is a physical one. Branch is a very professional, well organized facility. I would recommend it to anybody...for both boys and girls as well as teens and adults. Beware, it can get pricey...but worth every penny.
