I brought a vehicle in to this garage for an emergency repair on a broken control arm. I was sadly disappointed to have paid $400 for a repair that resulted in a poorly misaligned wheel.I asked that I be given a quote for tires, but instead was told that the brakes were a grave concern, and for another $400, they could replace the drums, pads, shoes and rotors. I was told that the brakes were crumbling and even that one had to be removed because it was so bad. Normally, they said, they would insist that the repairs be made, as it is illegal for them to allow an unsafe vehicle to leave. They made an "exception" for me, though. (per their own words) This made me doubt their concerns about the condition of my brakes.Well, I had the brakes checked by a different mechanic, who confirmed that not only were my brakes in good running condition, but there was nothing wrong with the rotors or drums. There was a good bit of wear, and it was time for changing the shoes. The rotors and drums, however, were in good condition. In summary, I found that this garage was dishonest in my case, and I will NEVER conduct business with them again. Further, in researching the credentials online of the staff, I found them on a criminal offender list on the internet. I am quite sure that I will not be recommending this garage to anyone, and in fact, I recommend anyone considering doing business with them take precautions and get a second opinion to confirm any work to be done here. Perhaps my findings were unique to my experience here, but it's better to be safe than to be sorry.By the way... I was never given a quote for my tires...
