The Yum Yum Tree has been a part of the historic Brighton main street for years and there's no question as to way. It's fun and comfortable atmosphere is great for families to eat or to just stop in a grab a cone of their yummy ice cream as you stroll around Mill pond. The location is wonderful and the food is great but, not overpriced.
The Yum Yum Tree, which my family and I discovered 20 years ago on the main street of Brighton, Michigan, is a pleasurable experience. The "Cheese Steak Hogie", while only one of many items on the menu, it unbelievable!!! The "Turtle Sundae" is silly, either with the traditional pecans or a nut of your choice.
I had the unique and fortunate opportunity to meet the owners - Bert and Sharon Kisak. They were enjoyable to talk to and clearly proud about their accomplishments in bringing this friendly, family atmosphere to downtown Brighton from their previous location on Grand River Ave.
This is a must see. Quality food, outstanding service and a wonderful atmosphere for all.

The Yum Yum Tree in downtown Brighton has been the happy destination for many locals for years. A cheerful employee will hand you a generous scoop of your favorite flavor on a fresh waffle cone, and off you go - a stroll around the mill pond to enjoy your treat.
Our family has been to the Yum Yum Tree many times, and the restaurant is also very good. An old-fashioned miniature train runs around the restaurant on an elevated track, to the delight of the kids.
Reasonable prices and good food - the perfect combination!
PROS: Excellent ice cream, nice rustic atmosphere
CONS: no parking at location
