There's nothing quite like a local biz with staff that know what they're talking about. Wildernest always has what I need. Everyone is friendly and sincerely interested in helping. Sometimes I drop in for a quick restock on seed and end up staying over an hour looking around and talking about the next "thing" my backyard needs. Love this place!

I enjoy visiting Wildernest in order to see the new arrivals; they receive new merchandise constantly and the product mix is wonderful. One of our favorite things to pick up is inexpensive - we get "duck feed" for $1.00 and take this paper bag across the street to the mill pond in downtown Brighton. We spend some time feeding the ducks and fish, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Wildernest has been in downtown Brighton for years, and Joyce, the owner, is well know for her efforts in rescuing injured and orphaned bats. If you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of her latest "babies" - they are fascinating. Joyce is always very kind to my 10 year old son Nick, and takes the time to let him admire and learn about her latest rescues. She also volunteers her time in the community, speaking to local schools about bats.

We are lucky to have her as a downtown businesswoman.

PROS: Excellent customer service, knowledge about all birds, good parking
CONS: none
