Leaping Lizard

I experienced Leaping Lizard for the first time as a visitor to TC from Ohio in July, 2009. What a fun & funky store! Love it! With a wide selection of *truly unique* gift items, I would recommend this store for any of those 'hard to shop for' folks. I especially love the "vintage" wall signs. Definitely a must-see on any visit to downtown TC!

I love the Leeping Lizard store in down town Traverse City.
The AS human who wrote the review 7-2007, about an employee sharing their opinion, is way far gone. AS you certainly have never been a business owner, or you would know that no one runs your business better than you. So, for that you have nothing to say, and what you think is not credited.
The owner of the store is one of the best people I have met as a store owner. She talks to you and makes you feel at home while shopping. So, it really is no reflection on her because of an employee's opinion. And who knows this employee was probably hired just for Cherry Festival time. Your reaching AS, so think before you write again.

I SHOP THE STORE EVERY CHANCE I GET TO CHECK OUT THE BEAUTIFUL EARRINGS (BEST SELECTION OF OWEN ) AND SINCE I HAVE MOVED TO SO-CAL I REALIZE WHAT A TREASURE THAT STORE IS AND MY CHATS WITH THE OWNER ALWAYS MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A FRIEND..ONLY REGRET JUST BEING ABLE TO SHOP THERE TWICE A YEAR NOW

I have not been into the store but I and another family experienced several episodes of unsolicited *extreme* rudeness in front of the store by an employee during the Cherry Festival Parade. (She happily bragged to the people around her that she had to put her "b**ch-face" on.)

I will not go into detail, but I will not go into the store either. Fortunately, I know that this woman is not at all representative of Traverse City folks, but if I had been an out-of-towner, I would likely have developed a poor opinion of the city. It's a shame to have such a beautiful parade ruined by the poor attitude of a downtown business owner/employee.

I just hope the store is better than the help.

The Leaping Lizard has a great selection of home and gift items. I can browse in there for hours. I especially enjoy their unique picture frames and garden accessories.
