Just this Fall my daughter decided that at the age of nine she wanted to start dancing. I know that a lot of kids start much younger - but I always want to let her try new things. At our orientation Debbie O had many suggestions about where my daughter should start and where she would feel most comfortable. Even after we enrolled Debbie still checked to make sure my daughter was comfortable. This past Christmas my daughter took part in the Christmas Spectacular and I was BLOWN away by the dancers, the help from the staff, and the owner herself. My daughter also tried out for the winter play with no acting experience and MADE IT! Yes, it was a lot of work, but the hours I sat waiting during rehearsals I watched the kids for 5-18 singing and dnacing, as well as chatting like they were family. Anyway, the play was this past weekend and the kids did amazing. We had 14 different people come and they were all impressed. Each night the cast had dinner together with their parents- it was a wonderful bonding experience! I know this is hard work for any business owner, but after leaving a dinner at 11:00PM the owner still had class at 7AM in the morning. She took time out from her busy life to visit with all of us. She knew all of the kids and families by name. DSD may cost a little more, but the quality and care of this staff is well worth it.

My children have been students of Deborah's Stage Door for the past six years and we love it! They have taken numerous dance classes and have learned so much. They have grown as dancers, performers and have gained so much self-confidence. I love it at DSD! Great classes! Great role models! Miss Debbie is a wonderful, caring teacher. She is the reason my children love to dance and have learned so much. Keep up the good work Deborah's Stage Door! I am so happy we saw you at Rochester Art and Apples years ago!

Wow, Deborah's Stage Door was a waste of many years of my children's lives. First of all, the recieve little to no dance instruction. Most of the classes are taught by teachers who aren't being paid and care little about the children's dance ability. Second, Debbie (the owner), really only cares about a select few dancers, who she puts in the front of EVERY dance. If your not one of them, you're wasting all of your time. Basically your just a background dancer. Not worth it at all. Debbie can be cruel towards her dancers, calling them out publically during rehearsal and making them feel even worse (especially when they are brand-knew to her company). Rehearsal schedules are crazy, you don't know what the schedule will be for the weekend until Friday, and whether you are in 3 dances or 30 you are guaranteed to be there all day. Through the many years my children were in her dance lines, they learned very little. I regret not switching studios earlier, but I was blinded by Debbies "commitment" to teach my daughters to dance. She honestly never did. After calling my daughter out during rehearsal for not dancing a part the way she wanted, I approached her and asked what to do so she could improve. Debbie said she didn't have time to help her and told her the other teachers didn't know the dances, so they couldn't help. Later, she told me to find a student to help my daughter. Seriously, I'm not paying for student instruction. Also, after asking why my daughter's did not get solos, Debbie preceeded to give every child in the studio a solo, but my daughters. What lesson does this show my children? That the desire to improve means nothing. Ridiculous. The costumes are overpriced, and honestly, quite cheap and ugly. Take your money elsewhere. Everything in this studio is way out of line. Debbie is quickly losing students and is bankrupt, but how could one be suprised. She requires her Rep Co students to clean the studio and work various parties for the younger dancers. She requires a donation to a charity, that is actually her studio. There style of dance is completely uncreative and is basically '90s pom-pom jazz. It is a shame that many who attend this studio haven't realized the truth. The office staff is no better, they call your house yelling at you to pay your bills and assessing ridiculous late fees. Save your money, go to a different studio. I regret the time I spent at DSD.

My granddaughter has been our measuring stick on the value of DSD. That dance studio is where she wants to be. She loves the work ethics required of all dancers and the attention given by the staff to make her a better dancer. The smile DSD puts on her face is priceless. I love the joy that Deborah's Stage Door brings to her life.

Acting, singing, dancing - they do it all! My child joined their program a few years ago and I am always impressed with the level of professionalism here. The teachers are great and so talented. They really inspire the kids of all ages. They provide so many performance opportunities. Way to go!

I am so happy I found this wonderful school. My children just love it here and they are learning soooo much. We went to the Christmas show just to watch and it was amazing - just like Broadway. My hat off to the staff! Incredible!

Deborah's Stage Door - the best! My daughter is five and this is her third year. We are thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful dance school. My child was so shy when she started and dance at this great school with such caring teachers helped her to be so much more social and outgoing. The classes are great, the staff is wonderful and the shows and costumes are beautiful. Looking forward to many more years. I would recommend this school to everyone. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Deborah's Stage Door provides the absolute best in dance, theatre and music education. My children have been a part of the school for numerous years. The entire teaching staff is highly educated and caring. Whether your child takes one class or many, each child is nurtured and taught in a warm, caring environment. The passion for what Deborah and her teachers do is contagious. I could not have my children at a better school or have better role models for them. The tuition is reasonable and my tuition money is reinvested in the children which is evident in the beautiful facility my children learn and grow in at DSD and in the quality of the teaching staff which is second to none. The school provides the children with an education that prepares them for college, auditions and a professional career in dance, film or theatre.Happy to be at DSD!

Deborah's Stage Door is one of the best dance studios in the nation. It is worth every penny you spend. DSD produces top-notch dancers who go on to have successful careers in the performing arts. Other studios just can't match up. The teaching staff are so kind, and work with your children to help them succeed and improve. They are also professionals & have much training and talent. Dance line is one big family, and everyone supports and helps each other out. It is one of the nicest groups of people you will ever meet. They are offered many special opportunities to perform locally and nationally, as well as the fact that they are nationally recognized for their talent. DSD also contends for the national championship every year, and usually wins. In my opinion, if your child wants to dance or be part of the performing arts, go to DSD!!

When my daughters danced at Deborah's I felt like a number because the studio is so large. The competition teams are good and so are the recitals, but I prefer a smaller studio that gets to know their students better.

This is an award winning dance studio. The staff are very professional and skilled. They have a large selection of classes and have yearly shows so the kids can perform in front of an audience.
