i cant see any difference in price compared to other stores the sales seem better priced in value and savings this week juice 88 cents kroger&meijer cant compete with that they r destined to become a competitor to the bigger stores no RAINCHECKS either they have the products u came for quality, service, and great employees I will be back forget krogers&meijer!! Tthey've reverted to KIDS-no experience which will no doubt lead to more RECALLS/guaranteed!

Granted, this is a really nice store physically. The produce department is gorgeous and so is the bakery. The deli seems to be a bit confused and it is sometimes hard to get waited on, but the chicken is good, if terribly expensive. They used to have a really good sale on Sundays for chicken, but now we can go to Chicken Shack and get great chicken for the same price. The meat department is also really nice, but as I keep reporting, very expensive. A huge variety though; you can get pretty much anything you need. A few of the cashiers need a vacation and sometimes act as if you are inconveniencing them by coming in their lines. Sorry if I sound petty, but I really am easy to please. :) I think the new Meijer on Mound Rd. will give Oakridge a run for it's money when it opens unless they come up with some better ads. Too much bling for what you get, in my opinion.

PROS: Nice layout and clean
CONS: expensive for the area, it's not Grosse Pointe!

I enjoy shopping here. They always seem to have what I need. I tend to go just about everyday and everything is easy to find, and checkout is quick and easy. The prices are great and they double the coupons up to $1.00 where as most stores only go up to $0.50. The employees are always willing to help find something, check stock on anything or help you take your groceries to your car.

This is a great "sale" store and coupon friendly. They have coupon acceptance of 1.00, which not many stores do anymore. The selections are quite good, with new products readily available.

I tried this supermarket a few times because they double coupons up to $1, and most of the stores near me only double up to .50. I thought I'd try it to see if it was worth driving a few extra miles.

If I only bought things with coupons over .50, I did save some money. But on a lot of items I buy regularly, I found that the prices were just enough higher than Meijer that I really wasn't going to save enough money to make it worth shopping here regularly.

On my first visit I had a hard time with the bottle return machines. They kept breaking down and I would have to wait 5 minutes or more for an employee to come fix them. It took me 40 minutes to do my bottle return of under $20. I was quite frustrated and asked the guy to just stay until I was done so I wouldn't have to keep waiting for him, but he kept leaving.

I have also had a hard time with cashiers taking coupons. They had to check every item against a coupon before they started ringing my order, which made things much slower.

They had a nice bakery and deli, but the produce section was average. They carried most of the items I regularly purchase, but in general the prices on items not on sale were slightly higher than at my usual stores.

I may visit again once in a while for good sales and with lots of high value coupons, but it's not worth driving the extra distance on a regular basis.

PROS: Double coupons to $1
CONS: Employees not helpful, higher prices

I love shopping here the place is always clean and the workers are acually helpful. I have never really stood in line more than 5 minutes. They have a good selection of food. THe produce section could be bigger. But i still find everything i need. I also like the fact that the double coupons up to $1. I save a ton each week with that.
