Honest John's Bar & Grill

The first time I went to Honest John's with some co-workers, I was like, "We're going to drink in Cass Corridor? I want an after work drink, not an after work [fill in the blank]!" However, when I got there, the staff were friendly, the clientele mixed (the rich, the poor and every one in between) and the food and drinks were cheap. Please, where else can you get a shot and a beer (a Hoover) for $5? You'd have to buy it yourself at the liquor store. I strongly recommend this bar as an after work, after game or anytime meeting place. Leave the drama with your mama, Honest John is too crazy a guy to [blank] with.

This is decent place to go to have a drink and a decent meal. The cost is low and the service is really good. I really enjoyed my self the last time I went there. I would recommend this spot to others.

The staff and patrons are very friendly. The food is good and the menu has many selections. The prices and service are reasonable. It's usually packed around lunch time. I stop in often.

Honest John's is owned by an eccentric, charity minded "Cass Corrider" native. His business caters to the laid back and un-pretentious. It is definitely not at "Sports Bar". They offer locally brewed beers on tap. The menu is small but the food is good. They offer breakfast, lunch & dinner along with great "Daily Specials". They have a great junk box with music from the 60's up till the present. There is also inside and outside seating.
