Lafayette Coney Island

When I lived in Detroit I used to eat here all the time and still do when I'm in the area. The food is good and the cost is low. The service is great. You never have to wait to long for them to serve you a meal. I would recommend this restaurant to others.

My Dad always took me to Lafayette Coney Island whenever we were within a 10 mile radius for a baseball game, shopping, or going to a museum or Cobo Hall. It hasn't changed in 50 years -- still the best all beef dogs with great chili and onions. A must for all visitors and native Detroiters.

For an authentic Detroit experience and one heck of a chilli dog, you have to stop by Lafayette Coney Island. It is a Detroit institution! I get mine with eveything. That's mustard, ketchup, and onions. Man, I'm getting hungry just writing about it. The best time to go is after you leave the club, FYI. It's like the party never ends.
