Store has moved to 1255 S. Main Chelsea, MI 48118

This is a very nice store. They have a very good selection of wines, beer, and liquor. They also have a pretty good meat selection and a full service seafood counter. My favorite part is the salad bar they have. Nothing like a fresh salad and a bowl of soup for lunch. Prices are competitive with other Michigan grocery stores such as Meijers, Kroger, and Wal-Mart. Staff has always been friendly.

I believe that Polly's Country Market of Chelsea is a wonderful store! When iy moved into it's new building, yea it was a bit crazy but a wonderful change for the company and for the customers. As for the staff, they are absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately I can't say the same for some of the customers. The staff are not rude at all but I sure have seen some customers that act like the cashier or stock person, or any other employee there are the scum on the bottom of their shoes which I think is morally wrong. That staff is there helping us. If it wasn't for them, we would have to travel to Ann Arbor to shop and I personally would rather not have to do that. So to make this short and sweet, I believe that Polly's of Chelsea is a wonderful store to shop at! It's like a big family and I love it!

There used to be two grocery stores in town, but now that Polly's is the only one they are not trying as hard as they used to. They recently took over a much larger building, which improved their selection of groceries, but seemed to diminish the quality of staff. The produce is decent, the meat is good quality for a grocery store, and despite my lack of enthusiasm this is usually where we shop. It is most convenient given it's location.

My biggest complaint is that they are very often out of items that I'm looking for. One time I went there and every single brand of coffee filters in the size I needed was gone. They rarely have the empty jugs for the purified water machine. They also lock up their baby formula and you have to ask at the front desk to purchase it. I was told it was to deter theft, but this is just about the safest town in the area, with a very, very low crime rate.

PROS: Convenient
CONS: Poorly stocked and distrustful of customers
