.

I have attended davenport for over 3 years now. I am happy with some aspects and others very unhappy. I feel their tuition is outrageous. I do not feel that they offer enough scholorships. They just redid their building as they had flood damage in the spring. I did not feel they handled the transition well. They sent the students to a nearby school facility. The students had lots and lots of complaints. We really struggled with lack of computers and library. But the new building is beautiful. Most of the staff is helpful as most of the teachers. Their upside is the location is great. Most students are 40 miles from the next nearest college. They do offer on-line classes which I have now tried for two weeks and really like. The schedules are pretty flexible for both on-line and campus classes. They do offer independent studies which have been great for some sudents. They also offer internships for credits. I took advantage of this opportunity last summer and really enjoyed it. Another plus is they offer tutoring and I have also benefited from this. There is no charge for the service. It is just teachers who love to teach or really care that you suceed. Overall I think it could use some improvements, but they do have some new staff and board members so hopefully things are heading in the right direction.

PROS: location
CONS: cost
