Kava House

In a day and age where small businesses are being pushed out by big businesses, I'm glad Kava House is still going strong! I went to college at GV and this was a favorite hang out. I love the atmosphere, the employees, oh yeah, and the FANTASTIC coffee. Whenever I'm back in the area, I make sure to return!

My favorite coffee shop in East Town. This place has a hipster vibe and offers coffee as well as fruity alternative. Great place to take you laptop and get some work done. The venue offers smoking and non-smoking sections as well as outdoor seating in the summer. A fun local business.

Great beverages. Try the "Alligator" during the summer -- an interesting blend of flavors. If you can't stand cigarette smoke, this sadly is not the place for you -- unless you are fortunate enough to find a seat outside on the patio.

Great homemade baked goods and wonderful, sweet (almost too sweet!) coffee. Prices are lower compared to other coffee houses in the area. A great atmosphere - smoking/nonsmoking sections are separated. A wonderful place to read, study, or just hang out and be seen.
