Mixx Lounge is conveniently located off of I-96 in downtown Novi on Main Street. The look of Mixx Lounge is art deco-meets-modern with the centerpiece being a stunning 80-foot custom bar made of mahogany and African cherry wood. If you don't want to sit at the bar try reclining on one of our low-slung couches or perch front and center in one of our elevated gangster-style booths. The bar design and decor result in a sohisticated yet relaxed vibe. Music is always playing with live accoustic every Wednesday, DJ's Thu, Fri and Sat and our eclectic "mixx" of music filling the remaining days. We offer a delicious signature martini list and the largest top-shelf liquor selection around. Mixx also features billiards, plasma tv's throughout, a cigar humidor and an generous wine selection. The Mixx is Classy..one of the few bars left in Novi that still cares about its environment. Its dark b/c it's a martini bar. I recommend it all the time and I go atleast a few times a month. The staff is very friendly including the owner. He has to have rules otherwise it would end up like the Po$t, and Cover charges keep cheapskates out. They have the popular dance music, although thats their downfall..their dj/s should expand..and play some new music..not what we hear on the Radio allll the time. Try some Mickey Avalon, schwayze, or anything that has a good beat and we havent heard a million times. And great job stocking Redstrip and Stella..

Mixx lounge has a great top-shelf selection of liquor. The crowd is friendly. Funked Up Wednesdays features a DJ spinning classic 60's & 70's Motown, funk and soul.

This is a terrible bar to go to. Ladies get in free but guys have to pay a high cover charge. Drinks are expensive and it is so dark in there you cant even see where you are going. Way to crowded and the music is terrible. I would not recommend.

Thank you for showing our party of 40 people a great time Friday night. I hosted a birthday party there and MIXX handled it with the exceptional service we have come to expect. Everyone at the party had a blast and many said they will definitely be back. The drinks were excellent and the DJ played the type of music we love. Thanks MIXX!

The previous review by "anonymous" is completely untrue. I was there that night working the front door when the bachelorette party came in. It was obvious that the group of girls had been drinking heavily before arriving at 9:00 pm. 2 of the girls were stumbling as they walked in and one girl immediately rushed into the ladies room and vomited all over the toilet. This was confirmed by myself and the barback that had to clean it up. The doorman questioned them and they said they had been "slamming drinks in their limo bus" and that they "had a couple of girls that were really drunk, but they wouldn't drink anymore". The doorman proceeded to tell the owner who came to talk to the girl in charge of the group. He explained to her that it is illegal for a bar in Michigan to allow overly intoxicated customers to remain in the bar and/or be served alcohol and that he (Mixx Lounge) could be fined up to $5000 if caught. He did not say that customers get fined $5000 if they puke in his bar - obviously her memory is clouded from the drinks on her limo bus. The girl then responded "isn't everyone overly intoxicated at the bar" and then became belligerent toward him. That is when he recommended they go to another local bar such as the Post down the street. Mixx Lounge is a great place to go and if you question it read some other reviews found on the Internet. I guarantee you there will be 50+ good for every bad. The owner acted professional in every way, but when you are drunk and hostile like these girls obviously they won't agree.

We made reservations to go to Mixx Lounge for a bachelorette party and owner said lots of people go there for the dancing, etc and it would be perfect for our party. When we got there, the staff was rude from the beginning. We were in the bathroom, came out and one of the owners told us we were too intoxicated to stay and drilled us about puking at his bar. He didn't even know that anyone had puked but assumed because we were in the bathroom, and continued to be rude, disrespectful, used foul language, etc to all of us until we finally decided to leave. He told us "no one pukes at my bar and if they do, they will get a $5,000 fine." Instead of just asking politely if everyone was ok, etc. he wouldn't leave us alone until we got out of there. The owner said it was an upscale bar and not like The Post, and to go there instead. Also, when we were leaving, a bouncer continued to make smart and disrespectful comments to us about them not losing sleep over us leaving, to take our a#*'s somewhere else, etc. The entire event was completely uncalled for, and I would not recommend going to this bar unless you want to sip on cocktails and have rude staff.

First time there on Wednesday. They had live music and lots of drink specials. My wife drank wine for $1 a glass. We will be back heard that weekends are even better.

It was a 30 minute drive, but I went to meet some friends on Saturday night. It was my first time there and I had a great time. I even talked to some Red Wings that were hanging out there. It is a very hip and fun place I will be back.
Pros: Attractive crowd, great drinks, nice dance floor
Cons: Wish it was closer to my house.

I have been to mixx lounge in novi three times now and every time the staff has been very rude and lazy. The bathroom had toilet paper all over the floor! The crowd was good and the people were friendly. But the music was awful and so was the service!

One of my favorite bars to go to. I love the atmosphere on weekends. The dance floor gets packed and the service is always excellent. I would highly recommend. :)

The Mixx Lounge is one of maybe 4 bars (including 5th Ave, Library Pub, and Gus O'Connors) in all of Novi worth actually going to. Why, because the Mixx consistently provides a very relaxed atmosphere, reasonable drink prices, and good crowd.

The drinks are good and the flow of the bar is nice but the quality of this lounge ends at that point. The DJ tries to hard to be Euro techno and if you coat check your coat they hang in a stockroom full of olives and cherries. My coat reeked of green olives and was lucky it was not stained after it was hanging above an open jar of cheeries ( I noticed all this when they were getting my coat on the way out) there was also a styrofoam takeout container sitting close by another persons coat. Basically coat check is a slob hole for the workers with little care to customers belongings. If I were you hang on to you coat while you try to enjoy the horrible beats of the DJ

My friends and I love this place! Always a fun atmosphere on weekends with a good looking clientele. I will be back soon....

I stopped in this past Sunday. The bar was great, and the bartender (I think his name was George, the one I saw in these comments a lot, lol), was awesome! He could make great drinks that weren't even on the menu (okay, so I'm picky...)

I love coming here, any day of the week. Seriously, you can find EXACTLY the vibe you're looking -- dancing (on the weekends), lounging, pool tables, Photo Hunt, booths for groups or couches in the back. My friends and I come here quite often -- we even celebrated my best friends' 27th birthday a few Saturdays ago and had an amazing time! So many good-looking people just having a good ol' time. If you haven't been here yet, GO!!! You won't be disappointed :)

If you're looking for a place in Novi with great drinks, excellent service, and a great atmosphere, then this is your place. The extensive martini list has something to satisfy anyone's cravings, and all the bartenders (especially George) concoct both the pre-defined drinks, as well as special requests, with ease.

This bar is great for people who have a job that stays open late on sundays, but still wants to go out. (Open until 2am on sundays!) Also, the bartenders are amazing. There's one bartender, George, who I can just tell him what sort of drinks I like, and he can introduce me to a new one I'd love.
I absolutely recommend this bar, I think I'm becoming a permanent fixture there

My friends and I like going to Novi to bar hop and we stumbled into this place by accident on a Friday night. We had a great time! I was impressed by the atmosphere and clientele. The crowd was mostly mid twenties to late thirties without the rowdy college kid types that are so common in a lot of other Novi bars. It fills a void in the area that is needed. Can't wait to go back.

I have been to Mixx 3 times and still can't believe the number of attractive women in this place. Last Thursday I was there and the women out numbered the men 3 to 1. The bar is very cool with excellent service and an hip vibe. I will be back.

Went to Mixx last Saturday with 2 friends and we all had a great time. The bar was crowded with lots of young professional types and the atmosphere was full of energy as the music and drinks scored high grades. Get there early on Saturday if you want a seat as it fill ups by 10:00. Nice place.
