i picked this office, because i found this was the only one close to my house on the w.saginaw. my very first appointment with 5 day old baby was horrible, 45 minutes of wait. then 2 months and 4 months shots were each 3 hrs. my child had lactose intolerance from month 3 , he was having 5 -6 times diarrhea a day. the doctors on the Westside conducted so many tests for the next month, since all the test results came out negative, they concluded by saying it was not diarrhea after all, it is his normal stool. such a worst experience. i saw a different doctor from a different practice, who adviced me to give soy insted of milk. my son's diarrhea stoped the next day. this doctor was so suprised at me for not comming any sooner, my son wouldnt had diarrhea for 45 days.

I just returned from my sons 4 month check-up. I was ten minutes early for my appointment and sat in the waiting room for at least 45 minutes. Once I was brought back to meet with the doctor I had to wait again. I spent 2 hours at this office and spent maybe 20 minutes with an actual nurse or doctor. The doctor I saw was really nice and great with my son, but that doesn't make up for the inconvenience of a two hour doctors visit. The nurse who gave my son his vaccines had me hold him down while she gave him his shot. After two hours of waiting I was desperate to get out of there, but I don't think it should be my job to hold my son down while he's given his vaccines. I will never return.

I've been to this practice three times. Each time I got to the office at least 15 minutes early and each time I sat in the waiting room for at least a half hour before being called to the exam room. Once in the exam room you get to wait even longer. Today I spent an hour and a half at this office and only 15 minutes of that time was spent with either a nurse or doctor. The doctor was so rushed I didn't get to ask any questions. I have a two month old and that amount of time spent at the office is really inconvenient. The waiting room is small and crowded, which makes me nervous about bringing my newborn there. I've heard other pediatrician offices have separate waiting rooms to keep the newborn well baby visits separate from kids that are there because they're sick. That just sounds like common sense to me. I've meet several doctors and nurses and some are really helpful and will spend time with you and some are really rude. I'm looking for a new office for my son.

We've been going to MSU ped for 8 years, and while some of the drs in this practice are WONDERFUL, others make me wonder if they should hold a license. Drs Jain and Greenberg are the tops. But they are difficult to get into - there's only one there who continually misdiagnoses children. She's also the one who's got the most availability. If you get there 15 minutes early for your appointment, you should get into an exam room around your appt time. If you get there any closer to your appt time, you'll wait for hours. I don't understand why. The nurses are great. We keep going there because peds in Lansing suck, and this is by far the best practice.

I love taking my kids to Westside. I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old, and both have been patients since birth. We have seen most of the docs, and have never had a bad experience at a doctor's appointment there.

The exam rooms are very kid friendly (although they should have child locks on the cabinents).

The staff is great, especially the nurses, who give the quickest vaccinations I have ever witnessed!

The only downfall is the wait time. Usually the wait in the outer waiting room is less than 5 minutes, but once you get to an exam room, you usually wait a up to a half hour.

PROS: great docs, staff
CONS: wait time is long
