.

I recently visited the Farmer Jack grocery store in White Lake. I sometimes shop at the Farmer Jack's in Mlford and also Walled Lake where the cashiers know me. I stopped at the one in White Lake because it happened to be on my way. I thought I'd just pop in for a couple of things and since I was low on cash I'd write my check for $20 over the amount of my actual purchase. Unfortunately, I didn't know they had a policy that unless you have the Farmer Jack card you cannot do that. I haven't carried my card in ages because I've never needed it. Never had a problem writing checks over at the Milford or Walled Lake store. I didn't wan to waste another check so I said I'd just change the amount and add my initials. The cashier called over a manager and the manager said to just give me the $20 and explained that they they started the policy a few months ago. I was happy they did that since it saved me from stopping elsewhere (like my bank).
