Who closes when you are trying to make a sale? Jack Demmer's Used Car salesmen that's who! I get it, nobody wants to stay past their shift at any job but when you're working for commission I guess J Demmer's people make enough sales that they can throw one away every so often. I get there around 5 o'clock to buy a truck and had forgotten the title for my trade-in. Right there instead of letting me rush home to grab it (I live 10 minutes away) or just not including the trade-in they say "no no we can work around it". While I was setting up insurance the saleslady was calling the bank to verify funds for the electronic check I had gave her. I guess she didn't want to wait on hold and had hung up and said "they weren't there anymore", which I knew wasn't true because I had spoken to the bank's loan department the night prior at 7:30. After I got insurance setup I called the bank and waited on hold to try and verify the funds FOR THEM! While I was doing this everyone was closing up shop and the saleslady had actually left me to go get her truck and move it closer before she went home. As 6 o'clock got closer both her and the manager were telling me that I'd have to come back tomorrow to finish the sale. They said they needed to verify the funds still and it was 6 o'clock and time to close. I told them I was on hold and we could still verify the funds tonight. The manager told me that I still didn't have the title for my trade-in and couldn't do the sale without it. I pointed out to him how many times I had offered to go home and get it (still 10 minutes away). I even bargained with them that they could take off the trade-in value if it would make it easier. Neither of them even considered to stay the possible extra 10 minutes after 6 to finish this sale. I had already canceled my evening plans so that I could buy this truck. Now to sum up what happened during the 50 minutes that I sat there, the ONLY thing that got accomplished was that I did setup car insurance and the paperwork was typed up for a vehicle that I am no longer going to buy because of the disrespect and being brushed off and sent home like I have time to spare sitting around a car dealership while being treated like I am an inconvenience to Jack Demmer's sales crew. Good Job!

We also had a problem with Todd Craig and his lying sales tactics! We purchased a used 2007 Lincoln MKX, he told us it had the safety inspection done. When we took it for a test drive the brakes pulsated and the car leaned, we drove it to our mechanic who looked it over and said it needed brakes and shocks. Todd said if we still wanted to buy it he would have the brakes and shocks replaced. When we picked the car up he told us the brakes had been replaced. And they only replaced one shock even after we told them we would pay for the second one! 11 mos later the rear wheel is squealing so we take it in for repair they have to replace the wheel bearing, hub and rear brakes. The rear brakes were not replaced before we bought it like we were told they were. We had to pay for the rear brake pads and rotors turned! All Todd could say was well the front brakes were replaced! We will never buy a car from Jack Demmer Ford again!! Mr. Demmer, you really need to check into the lying sales tactics that your sales people use on hard working people looking for a good vehicle. After spending $25k on a used vehicle I would have thought we deserved a little more respect than what we got!

This dealer has forgotten what customer service is. You would think that a car dealer located in metropolitan Detroit, (Motown), would have a better understanding of just how important every single customer is. To have a manager tell you, that Jack Demmer Ford in Wayne doesnt care about 1 car deal is absurd!!! I wonder if Mr. Demmer knows his employees feel that way. I think one day, that manager will be standing at McDonalds or in the unemployment line and wonder if his attitude should have been different.

I called Jack Demmer Ford used cars about a 2007 Acura TL. I talked to a salesman named Todd Craig. He assured me that the car was in great condition, and a complete safety inspection had been done. The price on the car was 18,900. I offered him 17,500 and he said that could be worked out. \r\nThe morning I was going to look at the car I called Todd and asked him to have the car inspection report ready for me to look at. He said sure no problem.\r\nI drove 2 hrs to look at the car and when I arrived I found that the NAV did not work. Possible $3000 repair on that.\r\n The inspection also had not been done and the car needed brakes , tires and an oil change. Also obvious minor damage to the front bumper. \r\nWhen asked if I would make an offer to take the car as isall of a sudden the price jumped to 17,860 with the car needing brakes, tires, an oil change and the navigation fixed. No apology from Todd. Just thanks for driving for 2hrs. This is where used car salesmen get their reputation.

Jack Demmer Ford in Wayne is a great Ford dealer. They are easy to find and usually you can find a parking place. The salesmen/women here are friendly and helpful. We bought a Ford Van here and got a good deal. The service department here was good also.
