I've been going to Dr.s Gaffney and Karlene for a few years now, and I'm very satisfied with both of them. As for the long waits, you can call ahead of your appointment and they will tell you if they're behind and how far. Alternatively, you can show up at your scheduled time, sign in, then run out and get coffee or something. Basically, they will work with you if you just ask.

This is a very nice, large, brightly decorated office space. Many comfortable chairs to sit in. The reception help is very helpful. You do usually need to allow more time for your apointment than you may expect. This is a very busy office and you will not always get in at your scheduled time. Dr. Gaffney is worth the wait.

Dr. Karlene and Dr. Gaffney are both dermatologists at 1352 S. Linden Road. I've only had one experience with Dr. Gaffney, and it wasn't that great...since he did not totally know my history and wanted to put me on medication for my skin condition that would've had serious side effects. Dr. Karlene on the other hand is a great doctor who knows all the right answers. He takes into account your background and is able to come up with solutions that can help you. The one problem is that if you want to see Dr. Karlene specifically then you may have to wait, as he is not in this specific office on a regular basis (at the time I was going it was Tuesdays and Thursdays). While you're there you could wait over an hour before you're seen...which may be worth if you're seeing Dr. Karlene, but may not be worth it if you see the other doctor or the physician's assistant. Dr. Karlene is a nice, friendly and caring doctor and I'd highly recommend him if you can get in to see him...and only him.
