Until a new restaurant opened recently on Dexter, this was the only Mediterranean restaurant on the northwest side.
Food is simple but good. Fa -la-fell sandwiches with hummus and pickle are a good choice.
Decor and seating inside is nothing to speak of. I've always gotten take out.
(Note: spell check forces me to spell f-a-l-a-f-e-l letter by letter otherwise it rejects the word.)

We discovered Star's when we moved nearby. It is a small place tucked into the sprawl of the Westgate shopping center. The ambiance is clean and simple. The food is Middle Eastern fare and I find it to be satisfactory -- perhaps not as good as some of the places between Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, but not disappointing either. They serve the standard assortment of wraps and smoothies. My favorite is the crushed lentil soup. Service is sometimes a bit off, but gets the job done in the end.
