Bo Tangles

My review probably doesn't mean a whole lot since I never actually got a hair cut there.

At least it's been longer than 15 years for me, but Bo Tangles is close to where I live now, so I've gone here several times in the past year for Eyebrow Waxing... I know what you're thinking, "who could screw up an eyebrow wax?" You would be surprised, about 30% of the time, waxing specialists tend to screw up my eyebrows BAD.

But every time I've gone to Bo Tangles for an eyebrow wax, I leave thinking "this is one of the best waxing jobs I've ever had". Unfortunately, I always forget to ask for a name of my specialist. Every time I've gone, I end up with a different waxer, each time. But EVERY single stylist at Bo Tangles has given me a better wax than anywhere I've ever gone.

PROS:

- The best place for eyebrow wax; also the cheapest.
- Stylists seem like they really enjoy waxing.
- They take their time and really shape up ur brows nicely. Including the top.
- I Hate Tweezers.. It's an annoying pain but with a good esthetician, you should barely feel it. Some specialists learn a technique which makes the experience painless for the client. If they're real good, you won't even feel hair being pulled out.

CONS:

- I'll get back to you on that one.

Best place in TC to get a great and current hair style at a very reasonable price. Nice scenery, kid friendly and great products selection just ask for Gina.

The salon was wonderful. I had my hair done by Gina and she did a fantastic job! She really knows what the best style is for her clients and my hair turned out amazing! I am very pleased every time I go to Bo Tangles and would recommend them to anyone!

Bad environment and even worse service! The only nice thing I can say is that I was not charged full price for my hair cut. I felt like I was intruding on gossip time when I came in to the salon, between the two women talking about there sex lives and the other girl who was more interested in playing with her computer I wondered how the service was rated so well from prior visits. Maybe different staff. But I know I will not ever be going back I have gotten better service and a better cut from supercuts then there.

When my kids were younger we would always go here for our hair cuts. They loved to sit on the animals when they got their hair cut. What a great idea to have a section of the salon just for kids! When I got my hair cut here they were always super nice also. And great cuts!

This hair styling facility has been voted the best in family hair care in Traverse City, which is the main reason I first visited them in the first place. I am usually very particular about my hair and tend to be dissatisfied with stylists that do not listen to what the customer wants or perform imprecise cuts. At first I was hesitant to go to such an affordable stylist, but decided to try them out.

I was so impressed! You do not need to make an appointment as walk-ins are welcome, which is a tremendous bonus for me due to my hectic and often erratic schedule. Their prices are extremely reasonable. The stylists there are always friendly, well-informed on the latest techniques, and knowledgeable about their craft. I have seen men, women, and children of all ages in the shop, so they cater to everyone. They were even kind enough to allow my wedding party to get ready there?all 14 of us! They are very accommodating, and definitely worth a shot!

I have a two year old son who was running through hair stylist faster then one could clap their hands. He was a screamer and nobody wanted our return service. Finally we came to Botangles, with their ride on ponies, cartoons and a stylist who didn't flinch when my son screams reverberated through the room. For that alone they get a five star rating. (Plus they allow us to come back!)

I used to get my hair done at Botangles ever couple of weeks. They did an awsome job on my cut and style. It took that poor beautician about 6 months of cuts to get me hair to go the way I wanted it to look. LOL
Then after all that work, a few months later and I was laid off of work. I couldn't afford to keep going and getting it trimmed, so I had her cut it all off to super short. That poor gal, I thought she was going to cry! Their such wonderful gals there and I have always gotten a wonderful cut for a reasonable price! Very loving care too!
