We originally intended on having both our wedding and reception here, but because they can only accommodate roughly 100 people, we had to move to a larger location. We did have our wedding ceremony outside and it was beautiful, but we had to provide everything. Our music came from a CD boom box that we brought, I walked down the stairs over steps that we laid carpet down over and I never saw the owner once we paid our dues.

For the money we paid to rent the house that afternoon, I feel they should have offered more help in coordinating the event and not leave everything up to us. It would help a bride to know that something is being taken care of and not everything is left for her and the wedding party to handle.

They only offer in-house catering too. So if you prefer to choose your own caterer, the Longacre house is not the right place for you.

Aside from that, the surroundings were beautiful and made for great photos.

PROS: Beautiful setting for outdoor wedding.
CONS: They don't handle any of the details.

I had my wedding reception here. Two months before the date, they changed event coordinators. They promised me the new person was great and would take care of us. Instead, her assistant took care of our wedding who had never done a wedding before. I saw her once at the beginning of the evening and then never saw her again, even though I asked for her. I had to instruct the wait staff on what to do.

There was not enough food to serve all my guests, let alone get seconds. They put everything away as soon as the last person got through the line.

I had to pay extra for them to hire an outside bartender. Instead, they pulled out someone from the kitchen who didn't know how to serve the most basics of drinks. He also served alcohol to teenagers.

When I called to complain, they said I should've contacted them sooner, so they could have garnished the event coordinator's wages. They had since fired her. They said they couldn't do anything to compensate us except send us a gift certificate to a local restaurant, which we never received. I tried to contact the owner, but never heard anything back.

They obviously couldn't care less about me.
