I dont know if any of you got your money back from that thief Trina, but you might want to check out her Facebook, she has just gone to Vegas for a week and now is in Florida on vacation. Seems strange she ripped off soo many people and can afford to take these two vacations back to back.

very disappointed and ripped off!
Wow well I signed with adams about 7 years ago, trina got me a job doing a commercial for a hospitol! i know it normally takes awhile to get paid so i would call once a month just to see how things were coming along with my check.meanwhile I go on another job for trina and im the only one working it passing out flyers for the new buick that was coming out.Anyway I never got paid for either job after numerous attempts to get in touch with trina and i got a lawyer to get try and get me the cash i was owed.nobody could reach her so i did 20HRS of work for adams for free!!!

back in the summer of 2007 Trina told me how great I'd be in some soap they were doing auditions for in new york and it'd only cost like $800 to go...But first she wanted me to go and do a photo shoot for the Greater Lansing magazine. When I showed up at the office -the run down one (on Saginaw) no one was there...I called and called and called and FINALLY about 35 minutes later she shows up so I go to the photo shoot (which by the way there was another talent agency with models there) and the photographer takes some shots of me and another girl from adams and we leave being told we'd be emailed the shots...never heard another word or seen another pic. Funny too, none of our shots were used in the 2008 magazine either, only the shots taken of the other talent agency's models. Trina truly is a JOKE! Thank god I didn't give her a dime!

I have never been to this agency, but one of the reviews on this page said that one of the good reviews is from the owners sister, Pamela R. Sure enough, there was the entry. It said that it was submitted by Pamela R. but after the review the person signed it as Samantha. Obviously this Pamela lady is writing a review and trying to make it look like someone else actually wrote it. This place definitely looks like a scam. Just from seeing this, I will say DON'T GO THERE!

I was called for a calendar gig for my son and Trina is nothing but a JOKE.... I am out the money for a calendar I bought and a tie that they borrowed. They told me it was my fault that it was left there.
What a waste of time and money.

It sounds like the people who are tearing this agency apart are a bunch of haters who didn't get exactly what they wanted so they start blaming the owner, the building, and everyone else. I joined this agency six years ago when I still lived in MI. It is what you make of it. For me I gained friends, self confidence, and some extra cash. I also gained memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. If you are expecting to become a professional "model" or "actor", then move to New York or Los Angeles. Even then, nobody is going to hold your hold and get you work. You either need to have what it takes to do that kind of work, or get yourself out there with perseverance. But stop pointing fingers at the owner who worked hard at trying to help you fulfill your dreams. I went to a couple of classes taught by Trina McIntyre and she was excellent. Owning a talent agency cannot be the easiest thing in the world to do, especially with all these people who think if they pay $700 they are guaranteed a job. Heck- If we all could get modeling and acting jobs by just paying $700 then we could all just quit our day jobs! As I recall, Adams agency did not guarantee any work. They did guarantee the experience and education, which you cannot put a price on.

As you know by now Adams Modeling has been closed since December of 07. The business suffered a bad transaction between them and at the time a trusted associate. The relationship between them was a 2 year long one and ended abruptly due to a money transaction gone bad. Adams lost thousands. While working to recover those lost funds in a legal battle they suffered from a slight drop in the economy and building code issues in the space they leased. Having to move immediately it was not good timing for the business to do it's best. Not until the move did they really start going through a very tough time and now with money lost, times were getting very desperate. Gripping on to what they could they pursued. They moved to a larger space which helped them to really expand their programs. Even after reconstructing things, it was just not possible to make it. Shutting down was the only solution for now. Even after it has been closed they have made efforts to refund as much as possible at a time for unused classes or calendar orders and are still doing so. As for talent if you have earned money and have not been compensated, Adams has no plans in the future to reopen but will become debt free and make things right for all that was involved. The statements that were made in reviews that we have read about using money or credit from the elderly or family working there are with criminal backgrounds has no truth to it. The president of this company has been self employed for 15 years and during that time the only bad experience she had was the last 2 years of running Adams Modeling. She has not gained anything from Adams except a lot of friends and a few enemies. She did not get rich off of anyone's money she simply went down with the ship. This is a very difficult business to make it in some make it and some don't. If you have a complaint about not getting work and payed for lessons don't write a review just get out there and do something with what you do know. They do not make promises that everyone will be a star and $30 a lesson is no where near a "rip off"!

I remember when their first office was in a dumpy bldg on Saginaw street. They were never there. Didn't return calls. Always late for appointments. When I called a week or so later, the "receptionist" blew it off as no big deal. Well it was MY gasoline. I made a 2nd appt. I was "approved" and the lady (who left shortly afterward) gave me a $75 fee pitch to "put my photo in their Book, which they distribute to their Clients", hogwash. I only bought into it to humor them. Didn't want to go all the way to Detroit. The result? No calls about any jobs. They told me to call "once a week". There was always some excuse: "slow right now", etc.

They then moved to Michigan Ave.. I dropped in to visit, the 2nd time, bringing my newer head shots with me. Trina tells they aren't 'good enough', which surprised me, but I asked her for a referral. She mentions she has a woman who will do it for $75, and sets up the shoot. It was an outdoor location. I paid the photographer and she took a dozen shots of me. I turn in the voucher and Trina tells me my CD will be ready in one week. I kept the negatives, "just in case". Well, the week went by. Called the office. No answer. Tried email. No response. Again, MY gas - in the middle of day. They were "busy" with some Orientation. Trina acted very surprised to see me. I inquired about my photo CD. She pretends to enter her office and "look" for the Invoice she allegedly sent out. It was buried in pile of unopened mail and parcels! She appeared 'surprised' that I was sharp enough to notice or catch her lie. But I kept my composure. She put the CD atop the "pile" promising to mail it that day (it was after 330pm). Tells me it will take about two weeks. Two weeks fly by. No CD. Can't reach the office. No email response - again. A 3rd week goes by. Finally I reach Trina herself. Her pathetic excuse was it got returned due to a wrong address! Baloney. I offer to waste my gas (again) and pick up MY CD. Trina refuses, insisting she'll just drop it back in the mail again, after screwing it up the first time! I tell her that is unacceptable and suddenly SHE gives ME attitude and nearly hangs up on me.

Trina calls me A WEEK LATER oh so very excitedly to tell me I can pick up my photo CD, AFTER being very rude and unprofessional about it!!! Well, I tell her what I think of her "agency" and all the grievance she caused me, and that I was coming in to get it. Now she tells me I can't just show up. I have to make an appointment! She then puts me on hold, and coincidentally we are disconnected.

I wait one more week, call only for them to state they are busy and cannot see me! I call their ripoff scheme and promise to reporting them to the BBB and the AG offices and demanded my $75 photo fee, which I already knew was a loss. The girl hung up on me.

My son took the modeling/acting classes through Adams. This was roughly two and half years ago. His instructors name was Kurt he was very helpful and knowledgeable in teaching the class, unlike the owner Trina. My sons photo was on the web site for some time (although I'm not able to find that site any longer) and we did receive employment though Adams. I say we because not only my son but two other members of our family were also employed for this acting job. We were cast for a very large company out of Tennessee. Part of the photo shooting took place at our home and various bussiness's and historical buildings in our home town. I know for a fact that there were at least 15 other people involved in this photo shooting. I've spoken with several of them. They too have not been paid for their talent service. Trina owes my family $850.00! I have contacted her so may times it's pathetic the excuses we get. My son & I went to see her three times and she even signed documentation I had prepared, we were willing to take installments from her. We did this documentary in 8/8/06 she was paid $5665.00 of which she owed us $950.00. We still have not been paid! I've contacted the BBB at one time she displayed their membership logo in her office...NEWS TO THEM, THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF HER. I've contacted the Attorney General she would not respond to them either. She will not answer our phone calls or emails. I even had the corporation that employed us for this photo shoot try to contact her, she would not return their calls either. Do not trust her. This business is a disgrace to the people who have spent their hard earned money to be employed by her business. She is greedy, conniving and the most unprofessional individual I've ever done business with. I don't know how she looks at herself in the mirror every day and likes what she sees.

I would rate it a ZERO if given the choice! The road to modeling success certainly does not start with Adam's Modeling, which has leased office space on Saginaw Street; has a defunct website; a non-functional phone number (mailbox full), and an ignored e-mail; with a dysfunctional female and her friends trying to run it. I was smart enough not to pay Trina any $$ after she bought the business from C.L. (I did put my young daughter thru the Young Professionals program with C.L. and viewed it as a fun extra-curricular activity.) This business comes up in conversation occasionally...since my hair stylist used to work for C.L. in the good ol' days, and is ashamed of the state of affairs nowadays. My stylist recently helped a former client of C.L.'s, who is a successful model/actress from L.A. She told her the story of how she wanted to drop in for a visit at the agency...only to find it empty and no courtesy sign telling people where it moved. People should do their part to report owner Trina McIntyre to the various agencies who can shut this namesake of a useless business down. It is an embarrassment to the Lansing business community.

I was contacted in October 2007 by someone at Adams Modeling saying they wanted to do a photo shoot and evaluation of my daughter, who was 2 at the time. The girl told me they had immediate jobs for that age group at that time, since they were working with Meijer and Target children's ads. I made the appointment. Even though it was an hour and a half drive from where I live, I was promised that my for $65 or something my daughter's picture would be placed on Adam's Modeling website for clients to view. So I though I'd give it a shot. I showed up at the place and no one was there, doors were off, lights off, answering machine on. The photographer arrived an HOUR LATE. Then she gave some lame apology and proceeded to talk on her cell phone and made us wait even longer until she was ready. Although she was a nice girl, she was not professional in the least. So we did the shoot, got some decent ones, and I got a disc with the pictures on them, and they would choose one to be on their website and use others for their files. Then a week later I got a call that my daughter was "picked" for an advertisement calendar that the company sends out. So we went to the shoot, took the picture, and then I was told I'd if I wanted a copy of it I needed to pay $29. For a calendar? I asked them if they could just email me the pictures. They said yes in a few weeks. That was in October. It's April 2008 now. And there is also NO PICTURE OF MY DAUGHTER ON THEIR WEBSITE AS PROMISED INCLUDED IN THE PHOTO SHOOT FEE. Their website is barely functional. Their office number does not work. They don't return emails. The personal cell phone number that the photographer gave me is disconnected. And the owner herself, Trina, gave me her business card with her cell number on it, and I have left upwards of 20 messages for her over the past 5 months....she has not returned one phone call. I don't know what kind of business they are running, but don't waste your time. Trust me.

Beware of this owner. Do not go there. The few good reviews written on this site are from herself and her sister. Pamela R. is her SISTER. This is a shady company, and has been ever since she bought it a few years back. She has never had any experience in this field and it shows. She has absolutely no managerial skills either. She talks a good game, she rips people off including people who are elderly and have nothing to do with her business. She will use their good credit to gain what she needs. She truly is desperate and it would be wise to avoid this company at all costs. There is not a professional thing about this company. She has her daughter and family working there and they have criminal backgrounds. She is a total shiester, and lives in a Fantasy land. She is truly believing that she is making it big by stealing from customer's and employee's. Beware, and be careful. If she does owe you money, you would be best to take it to court. She does owe thousands of dollars to people, and has stolen from someone that most would never dream of stealing from. That is all I have to say about that.

Adams Modeling is a rip off. I went to classes for about a month or two, then the owner said that they thought I would be really good in a fashion show that was coming up in February 2007, and then all of a sudden we get news saying that they are gonna move to a different building. I haven't heard from them since, and it is now March 2008. If you wanted to go to Adams I highly suggest that you keep looking for a better Agency Please don't go to Adams!

Adams modeling should be ashamed of them selves. They lie and take money and are fully aware that they will not be supplying any services. They talk about a calendar. Humm lets see.. It was suppose to be ready for November 24.. yes I am talking about 2007. so here we are in February of 2008 and still no calendar. They never answer phones and it has been one lie after another when ever they screw up and answer mistakenly. I am truly done with this company and I am hiring an attorney. I want my money back and trust me.. I will get it back.. This company is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with from the owner right down to the kids that work there. Yes I said kids.. The ones that answer the phones...you guessed it kids. The ones that take the pictures... yup your right kids... This company is a joke and if anyone is thinking of contacting them I would highly suggest contacting a shrink first. And if you read this post and still think about contacting them.. well then you are extremely desperate and deserve what ever will come your way.. I am going to get in touch with the better business bureau to also see if Adams Modeling has been reported to them. If not then I have no problem reporting them.

This is the worst company I have ever saw in my life. The owner is the worst person in the world. She is a liar and a scam artist. She gives you the run around and takes your money and never gives you the product you were supposed to receive. She is definitely not qualified in the area of modeling let alone the area of customer service. This company is a want to be company that has no future! Don't waist your time with anyone who works for this company; especially the owner. You will waste your time and your money. Watch the news because you will see the owner in jail real soon due to all the debt she owes and has no money to pay it!!!

I have been getting work from the present owner for the last 3-4 years. She has made alot of effort to improve the job situation. If you stick with it you will find yourself with great opportunities! I recommend going. I spent money training and mad it all back and then some in just a few months. I rate this expirience to be a good one. Samantha

I would highly recommend that you never get involved with this company. The current owner does not pay clients for the work they do, rather she keeps it! She owe me $450.00 for work I did 2 years ago! I took her to court, and she no-showed! I do plan to file again, and am hopeful they arrest her if she fails to pay me the money she owes me. I have run into others that have had the same experience with her. I was told that she owes C.L. Adams, the past owner, and many others, several thousands of dollars. My name is Lesley A.

I have been with many agencies in the past and this is the first one i have found that has honest people working there. The staff and owner have gone out of there way more than once to help me out. Curently i am filming my first T.V. series which will air on U TUBE this fall and we will have our DVD release party next spring. Since i have started with Adams Modeling I have recieved many job offers including Sean John, Roca Wear, Victorias Secrect, ect. I have done many local shows also and currently have four commercials running nationally on comcast right now. If your currently persuing a career in Modeling or Acting i would join with this agency. Also my good friend Abagail who is with Adams just starred in the Nancy Drew movie and two days ago released her first movie on lifetime called Saving Sarah Crain she is from Dewitt. So if your looking for an honest agency that is not a ripp off i would deffinitly call Adams!!!

To those who are looking for a good start i would suggest adams. I have made many movies and been in several t.v. shows over the past 4 years with the new owner. The classes I took through this company were outstanding and the teachers were very qualified. While working for this company I have done runway for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Guess, Abercrombie, American Eagle and thats just to name a few. I have recommended many of my friends to go here and now they are in the process of filming movies and traveling the world with me also.

I was doing makeup and talent for this company and the owner gives you the run-around. She doesn't return phone calls. I didn't recieve any talents jobs. Some of the people she has teaching the classes are not qualified. The money she pays you for a makeup jobs isn't worth the time you're there for -- She also writes bad checks. I had comp cards made through them, they were ordered a couple months ago and I have yet to recieve them. Come to find out the person she has make them botched up one of my pictures because they're obviously not professional enough to know how to use photoshop. So warning to those of you who are looking to be represented as models/actors I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to Adam's Modeling!

This service is so very expensive and they very rarely ever get you any modeling jobs. I know, cause I put my daughter through this school. It cost me a small fortune for the classes and pictures for her portfolio. She got a few jobs around town and then all of a sudden they had nothing for her. I don't think many people make it big from this company only the owner.
