I've spent the last couple years restoring my antique John Deere M and it wasn't an easy process. I would never have been able to complete the project without the help and knowledge from the folks at Steiner Tractor. Even when they couldn't sell me a particular part, they went out of their way to refer me to someone who could. I've found their parts and service to be top notch. I am lucky to have such a specialty company so near my home!

I always had very good luck with Steiner Tractor parts and their delivery service. And if I have to pay as much as 20% more for a part or product that's made in the USA , I am prepared to do so in order to do my part to get our American jobs back home.
And I will confirm that Steiner Tractor parts is very generous when the are ask to support an activity that goes to a good cause.

    Business Response:

Thanks, John! We try to make as many parts in the US as possible. It is difficult right now, but we are finding more local shops willing to take our business because of the decline in automotive work. We appreciate you sharing your experience. Thanks for taking the time to leave the review!

I have had to get a few parts from here, although i wouldn't recommend it. They are VERY pricey, and i know for a fact it's not all due to licensing and stuff like that. They also have no problem savinga few bucks and buying Chinese, so to me that knocks them down a few pegs.

    Business Response:

Thanks for the note I'm sorry that you feel our prices were too high. We DO have to pay licensing on products like the one mentioned in the review below whenever we are using the name of an OEM manufacturer. We try to be competitive with our pricing against other aftermarket parts companies and the OEM dealers. We also make as many items as possible here in the USA (many right here in Michigan) and we support our local economy in a number of ways, including using local businesses for promotional items. We also donate to a number of local charities including FFA groups, The Salvation Army & other charitable organizations. Unfortunately, there just isn't as much manufacturing in the US as there used to be. This is an industry wide issue. Also, generally, US made parts cost more than overseas made parts, so if price is the primary concern, you will get the lowest cost on overseas merchandise. There are products that we offer multiple versions for customers with different preferences (US made for a premium price vs overseas made for a lower price).

I recently purchased an emblem for a Ford 600 series. Steiner had the part in stock and I went right to the store to pickup. The guys at the counter were really helpful and I was shocked at the size of their store! I'll definitely be back the next time I need something.

This Company is great for someone who is restoring an old tractor and needs parts. Although is will cost you an Arm and a Leg for one part. For a grill plate on a 1950 international Cub it cost me 75 dollars.

    Business Response:

Thanks for the note! Some parts for Case/IH have to be "licensed". This means that we have to pay a portion of the proceeds to Case/IH for each part sold. We aim to be less expensive than the dealers for parts. Also, we focus on providing really high quality parts. Most times, the BEST part isn't the cheapest part. You can see all of our prices on our website, or in our FREE Catalog. We try very hard to hold to our published pricing for at least an entire year and usually longer! We try to be very open about our prices. Thanks, we hope to see you back at the store!
