I was surprised with dinner at a new restaurant for my birthday and it was completely delicious. Prompt service and ample bar drinks too! We had a table of 4 and we chose family style. WOW< it was a meal fit for a queen (or a small country) BBQ's ribs, excellent fish and chicken dishes plus all the trimmings; pasta, salad and potato also :) I have to say that the home made bread was my favorite! The staff even sang a melodious "happy birthday" to me. I really have to say a big Thank you for bringing me to my new favorite restaurant.

We stopped in here for lunch. I wish I had taken a picture of what the food looked like it was just awful. The fries were soggy and the club sandwich wasn't even a club sandwich... it was like a weird reheated chicken breast on a hoagie bun with some thick chucks of fat called "bacon", lettuce and some brown juice, no clue what that was. Thought it was vinaigrette but I don't think it was, it didn't really taste like anything. I asked her to take the fries off the bill but was refused. We will not be stopping back in here.

While out on the road bikes with my brother last summer (2010) we stopped in for lunch. I first ordered the calamari for an appetizer, they have always had the best, sauteed in a wine sauce with garlic and a decent portion for only $9. What ended up being served to me this time was indeed calamari, but with pieces of french fries stuck to it, an obvious sign that the deep fryer was now how it's cooked. Taken aback, I still took a bite to try, it was like a chunk of rubber. I had to send it back (first time in my life). The waitress brought it back saying that the owner said it was on the house, I thanked her but declined since I just didn't think it was right to do so. That's when "the owner" showed up at our table with a belittling attitude and asked why, I explained, then he went into a speech of how he was the new owner and how the previous owner did it all wrong, then he stated that his customers are regulars from the area and not a tourist like me. Strange thing for him to say since he was the new guy and myself and my family have frequented this establishment since my wife and I had our first date here 21 years ago when it was called Second Wind. Over the years this establishment has changed ownership quite a few times, but always maintaining quality. This "character" however is not cut out to be in the restaurant business, it is more than obvious in his actions. So sad too, because we have always enjoyed stopping in (at least once a week in the summer months) for a quality made meal. Never thought I'd be having to rate it at one star. Maybe down the road it will change hands once again to bring back the pride of what it once was, until then, there is nothing this owner can do to bring us back in for business.

Yes, new owner is the new "Charlie Sheen" of Lakeville.
How rude to hear him screaming at his staff!! From the
kitchen no less. Has no social skills. food is hit or miss.
Get a grip Sam, or sell the place! When Steve Townes
owned it always great food, good prices and always came
to your table and made you feel welcome. Sam has a great
staff and he is blowing it, I can't believe any of them stay.
Sadly miss "The Roadhouse" Too bad it had to end up
in his hands.

I used to dine at the Lakeville Inn EVERY week. The new owner appears to be unprofessional and shouting at staff can be heard while you are seated in the dining area. The drinks are poor and the food has completely declined. I was seated with my party one evening when I observed the new owner being OBNOXIOUS with other patrons and after giving the place numerious chances with the new owner we STOPPED going. The owner has NO social skills and needs to find employment in a different field. I wish the new owner would sell and someone else could bring it back to its former glory. I personally know four other people that have quit going for the same reasons.

Oh,my gosh, STAY AWAY from this place! The website says that it's under new ownership, but the owner, Sam, is nuts - he berates CUSTOMERS loudly in front of all the other customers - I'm hoping other customers who have witnessed his doing that will post it here as well. Here's a direct quote from one abused customer, who was berated for moving her reservation from 7:30 to 8:00: "I felt so embarrassed! I just wanted to leave but I had brought the whole grp for dinner. When we reached our table a large group of people at the next table said Sam had made their waitress cry because she had brought her family there to eat and he didnt want to wait on such a large group of people. the Lady's husband said he wanted to kick the s*** out of Sam. Our group said they wanted to leave & so we walked out along with the other table & the 90 yr. old man who Sam had asked to leave. As we were leaving Sam yelled at me from the deck of the resturant about what a lousy customer I was along with our grp."

service is great but drinks are too expensive and food quality has declined too much. I received a salad with re-warmed chicken and the lettuce was very wilted underneath.

We went biking on the Polly Ann trail in Leonard and stopped here for lunch when we were done with our bike ride. It was fabulous!! The service was impeccable, the food fantastic and the atmosphere so fun! We ate out on the deck overlooking the lake and it was a gorgeous day!! We had the fried pickles and nachos for appetizers and sandwiches for meal--loved the sweet potato fries!!! Everything was delicious!! Our waitress was great and continually checked back with us to make sure we had everything we needed! We will, without a doubt, be back again!!

The food is great. Friendly and courteous staff, we were seated quickly. My kids love going here. We would highly recommend eating here. Try the prime rib, it was great.

We were very excited to visit the old Log Cabin. It had been years since we had been there. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the building has been kept. The menu was delightful, and the service was cheerful. Had the calamari for an appetizer, and it was served in a martini glass. It was delicious. My friend had the chicken pot pie (with a puff pastry) It was not only the most enormous pie I've seen, but warm and flavorful, I would highly recommend it.

It is small but quaint, the kind of place I would want to go on a snowy winter evening. Menu is limited but the prime rib special was excellent and plentiful enough to take home for lunch the next day. The waitress even threw in an extra loaf of bread.

This placewas a small and cozy restaurante near a lake and offered low prices, but not that great of a food selection. I probably wouldn't go back. They weren't busy at all, so the service was fast and the waitress was friendly, but the menu was limited and restaurant was small.
