I have stayed at this campground several times with my friends. Some times we go canoeing, other times we go atving which you can do right from the campground! People are friendly and you can get a pizza right there at the campground! It's our favorite place to stay when we go to Mio.

This is not a bad place to stay with a group - but there is not a lot of privacy if you are staying on your own. The facilities are nice and the playground is adored by the young kids. It is a bit close to the road, so you here the traffic a little.

We have stayed at this campground several times. They have accommodations for every kind of RV, and they have cabins you can rent. They have two types of cabins, ones with their own kitchen and bathroom, and a camping cabin which is just a cabin without a bathroom or kitchen. You use the campground bathrooms and showers, same as the other campers. The cabins all have air conditioning, a small refrigerator, coffee maker and TV with cable.

Overall location and sites were very tight, crowded and narrow. The campground is fenced in and very small for a camp ground. The price was too much for what you get. No walking/hiking trails near by, you are surrounded by a small neighborhood separated by a fence. You feel like you are in someone's back yard. If you are not along the fence line then you are located toward the entrance and will enjoy all the traffic coming in and out the grounds along with the road noise.

Management was rude when checking in and sarcastic to those who arrive just before 11:00 pm check in, due to "quiet time" at eleven.

The Oscoda county campground, less than 3 miles away, is a nicer location located on the Mio Pond/river. The sites are wider and spaced out more with walking trails along the water. Rates are $6.00 less per night.

Pros: cabins seem nice

Cons: Rude management, small sites, fenced in campground
