Totally Don't use any new bowling balls Just got 2 new Balls tossed 1 game then my ball never came back it got stuck, called the counter to get it back and when in finally cam back a four inch deep flat spot near my track, Brand NEW out of box Nexus then my son bowled his new out of the box Defiant got stuck and 3/4 of the ball was damaged with multi scratches looked like someone rolled it down the sidewalk. Fred the pro shop owner said we had to leave are ball to get them fixed. well the reason we went to try are new balls we had a tournament do go to .dint want to leave them. there you go 2 new balls destroyed that would never be the same even with a repair i didn't want some 4 inch patched ball. they were like unless the ball cracked in half we cant help you the mechanic even said the pinsetter was at fault I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. I learned what being Rude , Crude and Screwed was all in 1 game of bowling. Pre Paid for 6 games did get a refund for the other games not bowled.

South Asians, Please avoid this place! All of the employees are "pure racists"(they can't hide it)

We've been bowling 5 days a week since last week and each day we go in to buy games, we noticed all of the employees there give us cold shoulders. Its like they hate our guts. When we say hi, there are no replies or even a little smile but with other customers (non asians) they are very freindly. It doesn't take a psychologist to read their mind because its written on their face "we hate asians". As soon as they see us coming their face changes from happy to an angry face. It may be coincidence once or twice but for whole one week of observing them we were 100% sure. We observed a lot of their continuous racist behaviors.

-They hesitate to give us lanes but obviously they can't say no if lanes are open.
-Out of 100+ people bowling they are always watching us and talking about us with each other and with other customers. (we are not dumb)
-They make fun of the way we bowl.
-Needed help with the computer and the blonde guy was nodding his head and rolled his eyes at us (as if we were dumb) once again we are not dumb we can see them helping other people.

I live in detroit and drive all the way to troy to bowl at this place because of their "all you can bowl deal". I grew up in detroit and been living there my entire life and have never seen racism like this bowling place. I will never ever go there and I will post my review everywhere for people to read.

It has issues about racial discrimination for Asian bowlers. We went there for 2 hour bowling special as a group of 7 but the staff just tried to put all of us in 2 lanes while other Americans had 2 people in one lane. They asked us "must" have 4 people in one lane but left about 30 lanes empty. In other words, they asked us to pay "all you can bowl" 's rate for 4 people but only gave us one lane!!! That's much more expensive because each of us can only bowl 3 games in two hours but others(Americans) can bowl 7~8 games. I even saw one bowler just bowl by himself at the same time(at least 10 games in 2 hours session). Why did we have to pay 4 people's fee for one lane while others didn't and so many lanes were left empty? Yes, the only difference that I can tell is we are Chinese.. if they don't welcome us , I will tell all my Chinese friends not to go there again!! If there is no apology for this racial discrimination, I will sue them for justice. I bowl 5 days a week there and this is how they treat us!!

Our league has been at Bowl One for many years, and in general we have been satisfied. However, price increases and more trouble with the lanes is forcing our league to consider moving to a new alley.

Bowl One has a great Pro Shop and offers classes with professionals.

There's a small cafeteria which has changed owners almost every season. The menu in the most part has stayed the same, but the workers and owners have changed,

My morning league has a babysitting service available, too.

PROS: pro Shop, decent lanes
CONS: Prices increasing, restaurant owners keep changing

I will be returning to this bowling alley. The staff is very professional and friendly. The lanes are great and well kept. The prices are also within reason. Great bowling alley.

Bowl One has been around for many years and is still kept up very nicely.
They have leagues for all ages.
There is also a daycare during the day to watch your little ones while you bowl.
