Whether we take our kids, or have a date night, we always end up and the Lion's Den. Even though their menu is very large, they run more specials on the weekend. It's fun to have so many things to choose from. Our server always gives us

This place quite possibly has the worst wait staff attitude of any restaurant in the area. The manager Anita is clueless and makes excuses for any problems that arise. Its never her fault. Brenda the bartender is great, they are lucky to have her. My wife and I have had several bad experiences with the service especially if you have gone in after 9pm on a Friday or Saturday. The waitstaff could care less to take care of you. Not to pick on the whole waitstaff, we have had some very nice friendly servers. The food is great, we have liked it for years. If the could fix the attitudes of the few rotten apples of their wait staff it would be a great restaurant. Also be sure to double check your take out orders before you leave as we have had a problem once or twice with missing food/side salads. The restaurant is clean and restrooms are well maintained.

This is our favorite restaurant! They have it all - pasta, pizza, steaks, seafood, unique salads, chicken, and more!!! It is family owned, and you are treated with respect. Successfully combines the best of all worlds - sports theme, family, slightly upscale (a little nicer than an applebee's, but not the kind of place where you have to dress up - jeans, shorts, tee shirts OK) with fantastic food and very friendly service! Every table gets fresh popcorn.

They've been doing a lot of remodeling over the past few years, so if you haven't been in a while, give LD a try again.

Tried and True picks: Monday - cream of chicken soup, Tuesday - Taco Soup, weekends - chicken noodle soup, Kettering Captain sandwich, beef torandos (spelling may be off), baked spaghetti, "Southern Sunday" turkey dinner, Tuesday- baked mac-n-cheese, hot roast beef sandwich, roast beef dinner, Traverse City Salad, THE BREADSTICKS, chicken marsalla, chicken strips, chicken potpie, burgers, and their "Alibi" Pizza (you had me at Alibi pizza!)

I've also heard good things about (but haven't tried myself) prime rib, potato skins, walleye, and pecan chicken salad. There's only one thing I've had that I'm not fond of - their fish-n-chips. I prefer more of a beer batter, and theirs is more of bread-crumb type crust.

Tied of chain restaurants? Go to Lion's Den for friendly service and fantastic food!

this is a very busy great casual restaurant-they have the best pizza around-the salads are a little skimpy/ bread is also great-you can call ahead for seating. the wait staff always does their best-there is a hugh parking lot-clean restrooms-the owner decorates acording to the holidays-very festive look..there are clean rest rooms and ample parking-one of my favorite places to have sunday pizza and salads.i think they are open till 11pm. there is also a bar and eating area in another room for smoking people.

The walls and halls of this family- and sports fan-friendly restaurant are covered with Detroit Lions gridiron paraphernalia. Menu standouts include prime rib, slow-cooked and spice-crusted in either eight-ounce or 12-ounce cuts; sauteed…
