Bemis Farms Preschool is unique in that it is located on a country road, in the country. It is a large preschool, located on Bemis Rd and also in the Lincoln School (they do their after school care). Having grown so large, they seem to have lost some of the closeness they shared with the children. I think the children miss that. Also is it very high priced now, compared to when it was new.

But it is clean, safe and some of the staff seem to really care for the children.

My child attended Bemis Farms for a year. The teachers we had were great - caring and affectionate. It is clean and safe. But the way the facility is run and managed is poor. The office staff is rude and difficult to work with. They deal with such a huge volume of clients that they don't treat people like individuals.

Bemis Farms is a good daycare, but they do have some faults. I remember when Bemis was a small daycare, and at that time it was an excellent place to send your kids. Now that they've grown however, they have lost some of their ability for idividualized attention. They do have a lot of land, which is good for the kids to play, but it is pricey, and there are a lot of kids who attend.

Bemis Farms offers a preschool program that strives to prepare kids both socially and academically for kindergarten. It is definitely a preschool and not a daycare. The kids are exposed to numbers, letters, colors, shapes, and all of the normal preschool information but Bemis Farms goes far beyond the norm by encorporating a strong science program. Bemis sits on a beautiful piece of land and the children are exposed to nature on a daily basis. Physical activity is also an integral part of the daily activities.
The staff is reliable, caring, and diverse. Both men and women hold positions as teachers which provides a rare opportunity for parents searching for a male role model in a preschool environment. Additionally, many races are represented in both the staff and student population which provides a diverse and culturally-sensitive environment. The cost is on the high-end but if you can afford it, it is definitely a good investment.

PROS: Strong academic foundation, diverse teaching staff, beautiful facilities
CONS: Somewhat pricey, request a lot of parent involvement, closes at 6pm
