Reviews for Stairway To Heaven

Ratings_icons Not just a head shop.

Lisa S. | insider Insider | Rank: 14,282

Stairway to Heaven has a reputation as nothing more than another campus head shop. It is not.
They do carry a lot of smoking accessories (all clearly marked 'for tobacco use only'), like pipes, bongs, hookahs, papers; the staff is always very laid-back.
However, they also carry a fantastic selection of 60s and 70s nostalgia, from Grateful Dead & Pink Floyd posters to retro threads, frisbees, LPs, and even furniture.
Even if you're not a member of their targeted demographic, stop in sometime and check out what they have to offer.

Ratings_icons 1960's Here I Come

Wow! If you want to flash back to the 60's you must stop in at Stairway to Heaven. The misconception is that this is a smoking store and it's so much more really! It's also a blast from the past gift shop. Remember a great era with t-shirts, posters and different gifts for those you love.

Ratings_icons They carry other things beyond smoking supplies too!

I do not smoke, nor do I have use of a "blown glass smoking appliance" for any reason, except perhaps for shock value or as a conversation piece.

They do, however, have a large selection of posters and blacklight "velvet posters" as well as tee-shirts, candles, and blacklight accessories. I discovered this store quite by mistake, but did quite a bit of Christmas shopping for my sister and friends here while I was at university; and quite a bit of home decor was also purchased here for a final destination of either my dorm or apartment!

The staff is quite mellow and laid back, but very willing to assist you with any questions you might have. The one fellow was a little amused at the fact that I didn't smoke, but did purchase a blown glass object as a vase. I doubt that was the intended use...but it's quite the conversation starter!
