I actually left and refused to support a place that would charge that much for a pizza (I now know that a small pizza at Pizza Papalis actually feeds 2-3 adults). </p> <p>One day I finally gave in and ordered this pizza, and it is the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I am VERY familiar with pizza. I have eaten at Genos East, Lou Malnatis, Giordanos, Unos, and all the great Chicago pizza places, and Pizza Papalis beats all of them hands down. All the ingredients are fresh, the tomato sauce is amazing, and the crust is flakey and golden brown, and the staff are very friendly. </p> <p>I make it a purpose to visit Pizza Papalis several times when I come back to Michigan to visit, and it&#39;s so good that I actually thought about franchising one in Miami Beach (I live in Florida).</p> <p>I strongly urge you to try this place. Be sure to get the deep dish pizza as it&#39;s the best you will ever have. I used to be engaged to girl from Chicago who told me I was crazy if I thought there was a better pizza than Lou Malnati&#39;s; but after she went to Pizza Papalis, she agreed it was the best. We are both pizza fanatics.</p> <p>Also, the deep dish cookie with ice cream is also great. I&#39;ve never tried their thin crust- because the deep dish is just too darn good. My favorite is the Spinach Special with 3 cheeses and mushrooms are optional. This pizza is kinda expensive, but a small pizza goes a looong way! It is very heavy and loaded with cheese and toppings. They also offer pasta and other Italian dishes, but like I said- how can you not order their pizza? Kids eat free on Tuesdays!! Another reason to love PizzaPapalis.
