Wonderful service, and they are very gentle with my retrievers. Much less expensive than my old vet in Ohio.

I would NEVER recommend this clinic to anyone! Dr. Karen Mallum refused to see my elderly dog and she died from a treatable issue.

This is a very nice place and the staff is awesome. You can so tell that they love your animal as if it was your own. She is willing to come in the middle of the night for an emergency and work with you if your animal need something that you can not afford. Thumbs up to the staff

Message from Lake Road Veterinary Clinic

With a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Karen Mallum brings top-notch training and nearly 25 years of experience to her practice. Since opening in 1997, Lake Road Veterinary Clinic has steadily built its reputation as a gold standard in small animal healthcare, providing Ironwood and the surrounding area with quality, compassion, and integrity. Dr. Mallum and her staff treat your cats and dogs as if they were their own. We also know that, like humans, animals don't always get sick between 9 and 5. That's why we offer extended appointment hours on Wednesday, and an on-call service for emergencies. As part of a regional three-clinic cooperative that alternates on-call status, we can ensure that your pet always has access to veterinary services. Get in touch with us today, at 906-932-4070, for more information and to schedule appointments. If you're a first-time pet owner or fresh to the practice, just let us know. We're always happy to accept new patients. As an extension of our everyday wellness philosophy, we perform soft-tissue surgeries including routine spaying and neutering for cats and dogs. In addition to preventing the birth of unwanted kittens and puppies, spaying and neutering has significant health benefits: reducing the occurrence of certain types of cancers and infections in both males and females, lessening male aggression and marking behaviors, and making your pets less likely to roam. As well as routine surgeries, we perform a full range of other soft-tissue surgeries. Pre-anesthetic blood work is available and recommended prior to all procedures requiring general anesthesia, in order to insure a smooth post-operative recovery. For pets requiring orthopedic procedures, we are happy to arrange a referral to a veterinary orthopedic surgeon. Give your pets the medical care they deserve from a practice with nearly a quarter century of experience when you choose Lake Road Veterinary Clinic.
