Elite Eyecare Centers are amazing. Nicole really knows her stuff. She was very attentive to my specific needs. she pulled a variety of glasses in different price ranges, so i knew she was looking out for me and my wallet. I really enjoyed my visit. The Dr. was very nice and explained everything to my understanding. He even made balloon animals for my children! The office was extremely clean and organized! If you need glasses go see Nicole and everyone at Elite!!! They will take care of you!

Elite Eyecare Centers are amazing. Nicole really knows her stuff. Every time I have been there. I witness Nicole being unproffessional and crabby with customers.Amber is super sweet and nicole is super crabby with her also.I have decided not to return to elite.
They are super close to my house. But I refuse to have someone treat me bad when I'm paying for a service.There is no excuse to make people who are expecting a service be treated poorley. Its a shame. They did an excellent job on my high prescription glasses.

I feel compelled to write a review on Elite Eyecare Centers after reading the past few that these other yahoo's are writing. I received an exam there August 3rd, and let me tell you what, they are awesome! The girls up front really know how to help people pick out their glasses. Their knowledge about all the lens options i can get is amazing. I ordered glasses and was told 7-10 business days due to the insurance that i had. I got them back in that amount of time, and was happy. I love my glasses and see perfect out of them. Just remember people with issues....no one is perfect, it is retail!!!!!!!!!!!! I would recommend Elite Eyecare Centers to every single one of my friends and family. I am a customer for life!

I had been going to DOC, and since they closed I needed to find a new eye dr. Some of my family goes to Elite Eyecare in Garden City, and since I live in Westland I figured I'd try it out. I had an appointment on July 27, 2009. The dr I seen was really nice, very through.

-Picking out my glasses (hard part for me)-
After my exam Nicole helped me out.. usually I just look around and find a pair I'm comfortable with, but she had asked what I was looking for, color, plastic, wire etc, and pulled a variety of frames she though fit what I was looking for. One thing I noticed and liked was each frame was from a different price range, so I didnt feel like she was looking for the most expensive to get my sale. She gave me different options for lenses, and told me what she thought would be beneficial for my prescription. My glasses took 4 days and I was really impressed considering she told me it would be 5-7 business days. Nice staff, and office.. I'll be back next year!

i was referred to elite eyecare by 3 different people on my block but was a little apprehensive due to the prior reviews. well let me tell you they were awesome! the staff up front and the doctor were very helpful. my glasses were covered in full by my insurance after their frame sale. they told me 3-5 days for my glasses to be ready and they were ready in 2. i am not sure what went on with any one else maybe a misunderstanding? but i will definitely recommend them.

I made an appointment in Elite Eye Care's Garden city, Mi office. My appointment was Jan 3,2008. My exam was great, one of the best eye exams I have ever recieved. However once it came time to pick out frames I was left alone and told that my insurace would only pay a certain amount of the frames, fine. However none of the frames had a price on them, and the two girls in the office were no where to be found! on i choose several pais of frames and finally got someones attention i found out only one of the frames i picked out were in my price range. (would have been easier with some help). After ordering the reflective coating and slime lenses I paid for my order and was told that it would be put through right away and would be ready in 5-7 buisness days. Fine. On the fith buisness day i was told they were not in yet, Ok not a big deal. on the Seventh day (Jan 13)I was told that my order was not put in until the Jan 4. (on a sunday!!) and that they would in by friday the 16th at the latest. It is now Friday the 16th and my glasses are still not in. I was told that they were actually not put in until the 5th, and they are expected any day now!! The Girls in the Office said they have no idea when they would be in, because a second company makes them. Im sorry shouldnt you be able to find out when an order is shipped so you can fofill your own contracts? I will never go back to this office again, and I strongly discourage anyone else from visiting either!

The staff however convinced me that I needed all of these lense upgrades and before I knew it, the lenses alone were over $400. The frame I picked out was $260 and was being offered at Pearle Vision for $149. When questioning them they replied "we are a little more expensive then them because they make that brand of glasses." The doctor was extremely nice and was timely and efficient in my appointment. However, when dealing with the receptionist, I regret to inform she appeared to be mostly looking for the top dollar. Instead of properly advising based upon the frame, she sold me an expensive option to my frame that I later found out I necessarily wouldn't have needed because of the frame. In addition, I believe I was erroneously billed retail price, even though currently checking, my insurance provider was a participating provider. I came out of there spending well over $450.00 for glasses, which was a bit pricier than I expected. I recently had another exam in which the same receptionist who was there in 2006 was still there, with another one. Thankfully, she was inquisitive about how the insurance paid for the provided services because when I asked the initial receptionist, she claimed she didn't know how two insurances worked, in which i felt a bit apprehensive because I felt she was about to try to take me for more unnecessary fees again. That one called the insurances and clarified any misconceptions and I was billed appropriately. My advice is this, MAKE SURE YOU ARE PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY ARE BILLING AND WHY because the receptionist with the dark hair will sell you items that you may not need and may manipulate the insurance to benefit the company instead of the client.

....but I was just inspired to write my own review after seeing the preceeding one.

I used this office about 4 years ago for a routine exam and glasses. my total bill was on the high side but I had added some options and didn't really feel like I was decidedly 'overcharged'. Their one hour lab had my new (and correct!) pair of glasses in under two hours and I was on my way.

This past weekend I went back there for the same thing. routine exam and one hour glasses. I arrived just before my appt and browsed around. My exam was on time and the doctor was very nice, thorough and professional. I feel like I got a good quality exam....

my problem is that when I made the appointment I told them that I was driving all the way out there (over an hour and a half from work) because of their one hour lab. The worker in the store part said that this is provided they 'have my prescription in stock'... after the exam I sat down and ordered 2 pair of glasses, my total bill with exam was over $400. Again, the price is kind of high but about what I expected for what I ordered.

the strange thing is that i was never given the option of one hour lenses, and as the place was filling up with people, the worker told me that 'they will be going OUT to the lab on monday' and 'should be back on wednesday'. It was too crowded to argue about it, so I left there half irritated on saturday. Well, it's wednesday now, and I took a couple hours off work in order to go pick them up. I called to double check that they were ready (before leaving work and driving all the way out there) and this is the response I got:

"let me check" - (5 minute wait)

"Um, no we haven't finished those yet, they SHOULD be ready SOMETIME tomorrow."

Thanks for being so attentive and communicative with me, people.

I am sure that the glasses will be fine once I recieve them, but this kind of customer service is poor. and rude.
