I went to the store on Sat. and bought two boxes of cooked noodles (with chicken and vegetables) and when I reheated one on following Mon. morning and found out the food went bad. It's really disgusting... I wish they used fresh food in those cooked products.

Tsai Grocery's only con are its prices, which tend to be a little high, but given the fact that they have little to no competition and a huge customer base in UMich students, this shouldn't be surprising.
Tsai's is very well-organized and clean, which isn't always the case with Asian grocery stores (or regular American grocery stores, for that matter). They carry a large selection of frozen and fresh meats, as well as fresh produce. Their beer prices are lower than average, which is always a bonus.
Best of all, they carry a lot of snack-type foods, which can be both healthy and filling, unlike most American snacks, which generally aren't very healthy.
The staff is also welcoming of everyone, Asian or otherwise.

The owner is a Taiwanese. Therefore most goods are imported from Taiwan, much safer than goods from mainland china. The store is clean and has enough spaces for people walking around. You can find sauces, seafoods, some Chinese vegetables, snacks here. Good for Chinese people to find cooking materials.

All of my friends and I love this small store. It has a complete collection of Asian food, including Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, and Korean food. It is owned by Taiwanese, and they have good sense of management. The store is very clean, and the payment system is computerized. They accept all kinds of payments. You can find very fresh Asian vegetables at reasonable prices.

This store is very clean, and well organized. Many choices of the little snacks. I like going there for frozen food, and pretty China. It focus on Asian customers, not only Chinese.

Tsai's is a Taiwanese grocery store and thus offers a great selection of both Chinese and Japanese products. It's the largest Asian grocery store in Ann Arbor, and somewhat pricey because of its near monopoly. Still, you can find almost anything you want here, with the exception of large amounts of fresh produce. For authentic Asian dishes, head here instead of the normal grocery chain.
