Ratings_icons Treated Awful!

Anonymous

Took my date and a group of friends there for our senior prom. Service and staff was awful, I would not go back!! We were a well behaved, well dressed group which seemed to have the impression on the waitress that we could not afford dinner. We were given the "cheap" menu and had to ask for the actual menu. Gratuity was added to my date's and my check, as if we wouldn't leave a tip! I wouldn't recommend wasting your time!!

Please note---we were polite about the ordeal, but it is just unsatisfactory being treated like we couldn't afford a restaurant we picked out for our dinner!

Ratings_icons Food & Service - EXCELLENT!

Anonymous

March 29, 2008Our group walked in the door & was seated immediately with our reservation, usually you have to wait 15 to 30 mins even with a reservation at other establishments. Our server, Bob, was knowledgeable and attentive. Drinks, food, desert, coffee, everything was excellent. Just a tiny bit below the Capital Grill near Somerset yet at 1/2 the cost. Our bill for FOUR with drinks, appetizer, meals, desert, tip was $185.00. Highly recommend the Mesquite Creek Steak House in Clarkston, MI.

Ratings_icons What a difference

I have been eating at "The Creek" for over 3 years and it is amazing the transformation that occurred! The whole experience from start to finish is amazing. Just walking in it is beautiful, with a fireplace and relaxing waiting area. An extensive wine list, elegant menu and unique desserts, are part of the fun. Not to mention the friendly servers. They take reservations and I reccommend revisiting if you have not been back yet!

Ratings_icons Mesquite Creek ~ Expensive but Good

Stefanie H. | insider Insider | Rank: 28,145

Owned by a local couple, Mesquite Creek is a great place to go for wonderful steaks and seafood (their coconut shrimp is the best I've ever had, period.) Their prices tend to be a bit on the expensive side, but if you're going out on the town and don't want the same old Ruby Tuesdays-Applebee's-Chili's fare, this is an excellent choice. You can sit in the rustic dining section, or choose to sit in the bar (where smoking is allowed), or in summer months, you can also choose to sit outside.

Weekdays from 4-6 is happy hour, where you get a free Chips and Queso/Salsa appetizer and half off all your drinks. With that appetizer, one $10-18 entree is more than enough to feed two adults.

Happy eating!

PROS: Good service, excellent food
CONS: a bit on the expensive side
