Now we no why they call GM (most of all makes) dealerships...Stealerships. Blah...Blah...Blah...never mentioned a nice size fee just to give and estimate on repairs for my car. Estimates were way over-priced...good job at keeping a potential customer by ripping me off or trying to with those steep estimates....RIDICULOUS!!! Be reasonable and maybe GM will make it in the automobile business...my next car will be a Honda or Toyota for sure....they are in it to win it especially with customer service unlike GM. Thanks for nothing.

After searching for over a month on auto trader I finally found the exact car I wanted at Todd Wenzel. I called on a monday, spoke with Pat Smith the salesman, told him I wanted the car. I live 185 miles north of Hudsonville, therefore, had to do much of our business over the phone. On tuesday I had my bank send over a purchase agreement to Mr. Smith, set up the final out-the-door price, told him I would be down on Thursday morning to pick it up, his final words to me were that he gets to work at 9 a.m. and I should be there at 9:30 a.m. On wednesday I put the car on my insurance and faxed it to Mr. Smith at Wenzel. Woke up at 6:00 a.m. and headed down to pick it up. At 8:59 a.m. , 20 minutes from Hudsonville, I get a call from Mr. Smith saying that he sold the car the prior evening!!!!! He said another salesman did it, but I noticed he had tried to call that evening, so he was clearly there. For him to contact me first thing in the morning tells me that he knew I was on my way! Mr. Smith used me as bait to up the price to another buyer, probably telling them that if they paid a little more they could have it! To make it all worse, I am sitting at a gas station on the side of the freeway, and I got no apology, all he said was that he had a different car that I could buy for $4,000.00 more!! If this is a "family owned business", shame on this family, they have no morals, no values, and will throw anyone under the bus for a few extra dollars. If this was truely a "mistake" they should have offered me gas money for my waisted time at the VERY least, or tried to find me a comparable vehicle at the price I was given. Instead they left me on the side of the road crying, with no apology, and tried to get even more money out of me! To do business based soley on $ will come to hurt them one day! What goes around comes around Wenzel!

Tricia, thank you for posting your feedback. We understand your frustration, but assure you it is not our dealerships' policy to place our customers in a position where they are bidding against each other. Although we do not know what vehicle you were looking at, the issue you describe about our sales consultant not finding you a comparable vehicle is concerning as all of our consultants work very hard to find a vehcile that is the best fit for our customers. Please email us at info@toddwenzel.com if you would like to discuss this further.

I have no complaints with the courteousness or professionalism of the staff.

However, whatever you do, please research your transaction thoroughly prior to jumping at their first offer. It's likely that you'll do better on price elsewhere.

We felt very uncomfortable after being presented an initial payment quote, only to find out after asking a few key questions, that there were ways of bringing that payment considerably lower. I realize people are in business to make money but why not just offer the best price up front instead of playing games? We've opted to shop and buy elsewhere. Good luck if you haven't done your homework!

I've went to todd wenzel chevy over the weekend for some minor repairs on my vehicle. The gentlemen were very polite and helpful, offered me a free loaner which was the new cruze and let me say, thats a pretty sweet car, came back the next morning, car was all fixed and even got a car wash. I'll be back for sure.

I will never go to this service place again.
just plan on them wanting to do more then what is required.
they must think we are all mechanically challenged (not)
just say no!...better yet go anywhere else

I had to write this review because somehow my 1st review was deleted.(much more detailed)
and another guys negative review that I saw here is also mysteriously is not here either.
lets see how long this last

I have to say that my visit to Todd Wenzel was nothing short of a pleasant surprise. I stopped in on a Saturday to get my older car serviced greeted by a gentleman by the name of Jerry. I was expecting to be talked into a bunch of stuff that I really couldn't afford but he was extremely helpful and said I should check out some of the cars that they have out on the lot. I found a gentleman by the name of Dean. He was very helpful and knowledgable when it came to the vehicles that he had on the lot. In the end, I walked out of the dealership with a used Impala that seems to be as good as a new one to me. Again, I was pleasantly surprised and will continue to go to Todd Wenzel for all of my vehicle's service. I also will be recommending them to anyone that I know.

I last visited this dealership to check out the Chevy Traverse. The sales experience was wonderful. I didn't feel pressured and was definitely offered a terrific price. Being a teacher, I always buy GM cars as the GM workers in my area were the people paying my wages. The Todd Wenzel web site has a ton of useful information available for the pre-shopping experience and lets you know about specials, coupons, etc. The site puts all their resources at your fingertips. Way better than the old "Yellow Pages" could ever dream of being. There's also links to their presence on Facebook, Twitter, their blog etc. Overall, an excellent experience.

Took my 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 in for Service on Tuesday to get tailgate fixed up and rear bumper damage taken care of. Cant say that I have ever been more happy with the way I was treated there at Todds dealership. Tj was my advisor and was very professional towards me and gave me a very reasonable quote to the damage that was done on my truck. I was given a loaner, said it would take 2 days and had a full tank of gas. When I came to pick up the truck, TJ said it was getting a car wash and would be right up so in the meantime, I had a donunt and cup of coffee. Now, the truck drives perfect and you couldnt even tell that there was body damage. I will be telling everyone to go to Todds for service and will continue my business there as well.

I cant begin to explain how great of an experience I had when I purchased my new 2010 Chevy Malibu from my salesman! He was able to get me approved for finance when I had a really low credit score and worked with me on the type of vehicle it was that I was looking for. The finance manager was also really kind and explained my finance options clearly and a way that I could understand it. He wasnt pushy at all which is what I have experience previously and made me a little nervous but he was great and really kind! I LOVE my malibu and I get 19.95 oil changes all the time, free car washes and that i havnt been able to find elsewhere in a long time. Thanks to Todd Wenzel I will becoming back for new vehicles and service.

First let me say that I have purchased my last 2 vehicles at Todd Wenzel on 28th St. with Lenny who is an amazing and very helpful salesman! Since moving, I have been taking my vehicle to Todd Wenzel in Hudsonville and I am extremely disappointed. The last 3 occasions I have taken my car in for an oil change and they have told me different repairs needed on my car all priced much higher than average. Two days ago I took my car in for an oil change. I sat in the waiting area for 2 hours with NO one coming to talk to me. I finally sought out a service man who told me I needed a new EVAP vent selenoid and they were waiting for the warranty co. to call back. I asked for a rental as I had been sitting there for 2 hours! He then told me several other "repairs" I needed on my car all quite costly. I told him I would need to look around and would let him know. This did not make him (Tim) happy at all. I called the next morning to decline the optional repairs. I was called back 15 min. later and told that the warranty co. will not cover the needed part and if I declined the service they would charge me an $85 diagnostic fee. I never asked for a diagnosis nor did anyone inform me of a fee! My fiance then called and was told the repair was not necessary but I had to pay the fee. Tim admitted that he had not discussed the diagnostic fee with me so my fiance indicated we should not have to pay this. At that point, Tim said "Then come pick up your car" and hung up the phone. Tim then called me at work and asked rudely "When can I get my rental back?" I asked if 5pm was okay, he said "yup" and hung up the phone. When I took the rental car back he asked if I put gas in the car, I said, "yes." He walked away. That was it. I am always pressured into having "repairs" done when I am there. I am treated as incompetent because I am a female which is ridiculous and unacceptable. I understand economic times are rough but there is no need to lie and treat customers rudely because they can not afford an unnecessary repair! Sadly, I will have to find a new dealership for my vehicle upkeep.

I recently looked at used cars at Todd Wenzel in Hudsonville. Zack showed me several cars, he is pleasant and so polite, this is the kind of guy you want to buy a car from. I took my Malibu Maxx in to the garage this morning and those guys are also outstandingly friendly- Jerry particularly. This is the cleanest garage I've ever seen, organized and the service is just top notch. I'm telling everyone about Todd Wenzel and think I'll just drive Chevy's from now on just to keep the relationship with such a fine business.

I recently purchased my second used vehicle from Todd Wenzel Chevrolet. I always research many dealers before buying, especially used. I review many dealerships in my area, compare prices, look at similar vehicles online, and then choose my dealership, or online source to purchase from. In both of my used car purchases, I have had a great experience at Todd Wenzel. The salesman was very nice and didn't pressure me at all. I was also pleased to find the best vehicle for the money here! Overall I would definitely recommend this dealer. I have had the best experience here and love my new SUV!

I had poor service, purchased a lemon car that they would not stand behind after they knew of problems, rude management. I would never purchase another car at Todd Wenzel just because of how they treat the people that pay them. THE CUSTOMER!

I recently purchased a 2002 Chevy Cavalier from Charley. I have never had a salesman be so completely willing to help me get into a car I was comfortable with. The first time I sat down with him, he listened carefully to the list of requirements I was looking for, and showed me a single car before I fell in love with it. I took it for a test drive and noticed a few small things that he readily agreed to take care of if I chose the car. He allowed me to test drive the car overnight so that my personal mechanic could take a look at it. After my mechanic recommended that a few things be done to the car, Charley offered to take care of them before I purchased it. He went to GREAT lengths to help me get all my concerns taken care of before I was ready to purchase my car. It was an extremely easy experience to find the car and get it financed.

Thank you very much!

PROS: Excellent consumer service - Thank You!

We recently purchased a used 2000 Chevy Silverado from Charley at Todd Wenzel/Serra Chevrolet. We could not have been happier with this process. Charley is an outstanding guy and made this process easy and fun! He took his time to listen to our needs and wishes and then showed us only the vehicles that he knew we would love. He made the paperwork process easy and uncomplicated. We love the truck!

PROS: Great Service From Charley
CONS: Somewhat Limited Selection of used cars
